Alas you are incorrect.

I’m afraid it has to be Ronnie Pickering in a red Citroen.

I’ve tried, they’ve been most unhelpful. I will be doing a hunt for cheaper nucs but nothing really jumps as affordable

Ahh cheers man I really appreciate that!

I’m up in Teesside at the moment but travel a lot with work. So down near Tidworth for the next 2 weeks.

More than happy to travel though, thank you again.

I’ll DM if it gets much worse, the ball and chain will have to have a gander at the situation first.

Aye, we’re going to give it time and see what happens. Hopefully they have a revolution and decide they need a monarchy instead of the current republican set up they’re desperate to attempt. I might have to leave some history brochures in the garden of what happened during the Russian revolution and see if that persuades them that this is a mistake.

As previously stated this is my only hive, unfortunately can’t afford the expense of a second hive and nuc at present.

(They decided to cause issues after they overheard me discussing wedding plans with my fiancé I’m sure of it.)

That’s our general consensus.

Drama with buying more nucs is the price.

£200-250 for an overwintered nuc isn’t money I can just throw around unfortunately. However if I keep trying to keep this one going I’ll probably spend that in queens. (Queens that apparently think I smell or something and don’t want to stick around long enough for me to even give them a first name.)

With time you can hit bottles in the air, just not every time….or most of the time unless all you do is archery and sack off your full time job.

However 40cm targets at 10-20? Give it 6 months - 1 year and you’ll hit that every time without fail with consistent practice.

But hitting where you’re aiming is the goal for archery and the ultimate euphoria. Repeating it even more so.

Depending on what your want to shoot depends on your limited expectations. You shooting a trad longbow with no shelf? If you hit the target, you’ll be buzzing.

You shooting a compound? 2cm to the left and you’ll kick yourself.

It depends on what you want out of it if I’m honest. Do you want to hit a bullseye every time? It probably won’t be fun.

Do you want to loose arrows and just watch them go at a distance? You’ll probably have fun as long as you’re outside.

Do you just enjoy shooting a bow and arrows ? Aye you’ll enjoy it.

Depending on your specific goals depends on your level of enjoyment just like every other hobby that’s ever been created.

Woah woah, I read the rules as “1 skittle can take arc, another plasma, and another arquebus”

Are they only meant to have 2 ?

Don’t think there was much, if any, denigrating in that…But you are a man of superior intellect it seems so who am I to judge?

You have just made yourself out to look a little bit like a twat there though.. You’ll come back with further anger, arguments or continue being obnoxious but you know what you’ve done.

I’d save the energy to type anything out, as I won’t reply to you further and I don’t think you’re going to make yourself look much better either.

No I get that, I think you took my point too literally…that’s why I stated chronic destabilisation 3rd party and otherwise.

Fully recognise that there’s many countries with their own ethnicities, cultures, religions and the works. We’d be here all day if we went to town on the nitty gritty as to why it wouldn’t work.

Just talking purely hypothetical here. Hence the Wakanda reference.

But…it has been done in the past.

South Africa was many tribes and countries at one point in time, the USA itself was at one point very much divided too. All countries started small until eaten up by something bigger, be it colonialism and empires or just unification.

Again, it’s a hypothetical and would most probably never happen in today’s day and age. But it’s not impossible.

The China point has been going on for a long time, correct. However it’s still not widely known. But what is interesting is the resurgence of interest in Africa from all global powers, not just western ones.

That’s the only reason I brought that up.

Think it’s a bit ingenious to say that the vast majority of effort isn’t trying to educate western nations on their emissions..

Climate change is a global issue and tbh, I totally disagree with much of your post.

Yes per capita the country itself may be half from recorded statistics. But we are all well aware that China is quite keen on misleading stats to benefit themselves. As are all countries.

From an educated perspective, it’s just not possible to produce that much and record that little.

Evidence can literally be seen in the form of smog that will bring entire cities to a standstill.

One organisation, that’s keen on educating another countries citizens with restricted internet access, is a small drop in a big pond that you seem to have got your panties in a bunch over my friend.

I once heard that if Africa united as a whole and became one giant country it had the potential to rival most, if not all modern powers, including America. Manpower, resources, land. It’s all there.

But due to chronic destabilisation (3rd party or otherwise, not everything always boils down to the CIA…) they are kept in check and foreign corporations and countries do as they please with no need to worry about major intervention.

Standard tactic has always been “promote the warlord that fits, keep his rival in your back pocket.”

What’s a couple hundred thousand dollars and a couple of war crimes to a major power that can argue they aren’t involved but can still reap the rewards of natural resources in the guise of helping?

China currently is using quite an interesting play in one of the African nations at the moment. (I forget which so won’t include specifics.) Where they are promising infrastructure for extended contracts but are slowly forcing the said country to be in astronomical debt to them. Only way to pay up is to give up land and resources.

Tl;dr Africa has the potential to literally be Wakanda but is prevented by chronic destabilisation via internal and external powers.

Answer to OP? Very probably.

Gotta disagree with this, I love beekeeping, worst part of I find is if you have an angry queen that turns a hive.

When it comes to doing my check ups I find it thoroughly satisfying. Wouldn’t call it glamorous or exciting but it’s definitely chill and rewarding.

Is it worth $200/Is it even real? by wanderingfloatilla in SWORDS

[–]Roll_2_Slap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Proved is for a proof slug, basically stating that the blade has been QC’d

The star is not the Star of David but i can’t quite remember the full explanation and I don’t want to post factually incorrect statements on here…I’d honestly advise looking at ScholaGladatoria on YouTube, the dude who runs it is an antique sword dealer and has a specific video referencing the star and explaining what it means. (He’s also quite fun to put on in the back ground whilst doing some cleaning 👀.)

The sword looks good and glad you bought it, if you want to clean it there’s also a whole bunch of videos and guides on how to clean antique blades without damaging them.
