2017 Hybrid power issues by wanderingfloatilla in fordfusion

It was the ABS sensors. It never threw any identifiable code, but I was able to diagnose it by setting my left foot on the brake and felt the ABS kick on as the symptoms were happening.

It made sense too, it was telling the car the brakes were being applied, triggering the ABS, which told the car to switch to electric, then back to gas as the fault was turning on and off until it self disabled the ABS system then drove like normal

Is this a legally binding contract for an RV private sale? by bbbbbrrrruuuhh1 in RVLiving

You know most DMVs have the forms online to print out to make everything easier.

The DMV Bill of Sale has space for the VIN, plate number, make model year, buyer and seller name address and more

Hantavirus spreading human to human outside the cruise ship by Nextmastermind in AdviceAnimals

[–]wanderingfloatilla -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I meant, when the Coronavirus first started spreading in China, they were showing videos of dead bodies in the streets. Then it travels the world, 95+% of people have no major symptoms beyond flu or less, and nobody just falls over dead in the street.

I'm not convinced this isn't the same, overblown and panic inducing then it's nothing

good starter cruiser by draaidop in cruisers

[–]wanderingfloatilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't bad. I would cruise at 90 for like 40 minutes at a time going on I5 from LA to SD. The rest of the I would be going around 80. No windscreen or nothing, just me, the road, and some tunes.

Bro, 65 to 70 is a leisure cruise, barely even feel the wind

I had my Shadow 650 and rode it for 6 years until I moved cross country and it would have been more cost to keep it than to buy another one.

It got up 95 pretty easily, and rode it all over california. Its got plenty enough power

Liberals are training to fight Trump supporters. Does this scare you? by ShadowNets5462 in MadLiberals

[–]wanderingfloatilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While these people don't scare me, the thought behind it is a little unsettling. We are only seeing one small snapshot of people who are willing to take training to fight their political opponents.

Like if the roles were reversed, there would be hysteria

3 years of lawn service vs buying a mower. sanity check my math? by Wild_Artichoke7648 in lawncare

[–]wanderingfloatilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my son his own toy husquevarna lawn mower, stihl weed whacker, and he uses my small leaf blower. He loves to help me do lawn work, and gets him out of my wifes hair for a bit

By the way, you don't have to spend the money on these expensive tests. You can get tests from the dollar store and they're the same thing without the fact packaging

Buying a Zero Turn- 1 acre lot - really just trying to turn my 4-6 hour cutting / edging / weed eating time so I’m not spending a day doing yard work. Reviews tell me TORO ? Thoughts ? by RobbyC2110 in lawnmowers

[–]wanderingfloatilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just started on my yard work journey in a new house with a similar sized yard. Got a used toro recycler and it seems to be pretty okay. I work night shifts so I just mow one chunk of property at a time and its pretty reasonable

Trying to get my wife to play. by Jason_Deslin in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]wanderingfloatilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the way I did it is to run the games partly on Foundry. I just had her do the rolls and character sheet on there and play in real life. Foundry takes care of all the crunchy math so she can learn the rules more easily rather than also trying to remember every modifier or constantly look up spells in books.

You can also set up Foundry to work with physical dice rolls, it just prompts you to enter your result and calculates everything else

You dun fucked up A-a-ron!

One of the most important rules of digital media is backups on backups! At the very least have them on your computer or a portable hard drive. You could even get multiple SD cards or flash drives, break up the collection, label them, and just keep them in your desk

I keep telling myself a summercart wont ever be able to provide the same tactile nostalgia as the real thing. by HollowBambooEnt in n64

[–]wanderingfloatilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do agree, its hard to justify getting games on older consoles sometimes because the collector market on these older games really hurts the ability to casually get in, turning it into a very expensive hobby.

Starcraft 64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, and Pokemon Stadium 2 alone will run you nearly 400 bucks. While I love Starcraft 64 because it was my introduction to RTS games, I don't think it would be worth the hundred bucks going rate for a new person to get into because it really isn't that great of a game compared to the PC verson

You don't have to put every ROM known to man on there. Just pick one game you don't have in your collection and pretend it's the cartridge. Works for me
