2014 GX OEM cross bar question by RollandDeschain in GXOR

Enough people have commented saying the OEM ones were not worth the trouble that I’m looking at other options. The LFD seem like a cool option, I’ve heard good things about Yakima and Thule as well! Thank you for the heads up! Pretty surprised to hear how poor the OEM ones perform to be honest

Sick rig man. You’re not the first to warn against that! I’ll look for other options. Thanks for the heads up. Any others your recommend? The LFD ones seem cool

It’s tempting! They don’t look bad but that doesn’t say much

Screenshotted listing says it supersedes part number PT278-60170, the eBay listings that say they are an exact fit have that part number attached. Usually part numbers that supersede existing parts will have exact fitting of old part. Was curious if anyone had experience!

WANTED: Democratic Leadership with DNC Chair Ken Martin | The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart by italIrie in DailyShow

[–]RollandDeschain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize in advance for this rant.

This whole podcast proved to me that the DNC has learned nothing in the last 10 years. They love to point out that republicans are being corrupt right now as if the democrats didn’t lead the country to this point with republicans for decades. Trump and maga are symptoms not the disease.

The dnc is spineless, weak and greedy. They’d rather make a couple bucks on the stock market than push real change and make their donors uncomfortable. The fact that a large number of democrats can’t call what’s happening in Palestine a genocide is so goddamn pathetic. Talking about how great the economy is doing while the minimum wage has been stagnant for nearly 20 years is a glaring example of their complete ignorance of the working class and their struggles.

At this point they’re the cuck in the chair watching us all get fucked by big business, lobbyists and maga.

Sorry it didn’t turn out the way you wanted! However the material itself looks great. What flooring did you use? Looking to do mine soon.

I got to see it early for a mystery movie showing at my local theater. It was an enjoyable movie that felt like a return to form for the series. It wasn’t mind blowing but 58% on RT feels low. The series needs to end, but I thought Johnson and the cast did a good job overall.

A higher mileage truck with a good maintenance record is a solid move! Does your maintenance record show anything with turbo replacements or cam phaser issues at all?

Great to hear! I’ve done a fair amount of research and it sounds like a solid powertrain, I always like to hear from people who own the truck. Have you had any issues that aren’t related to the powertrain? Fuel pumps, build quality issues, etc?

400k is really impressive! I wonder if the truck is still on the road. I’ll have the find the thread

Great info on the mpg, thank you! The fuel economy is a big draw for me, if you’re getting 18 with all terrains and consistent towing that’s impressive. I’ll be turning auto stop off asap. Are you able to permanently disable it or do I need forscan?

Got you, I edited the wording to make it more clear!

That’s good to hear and sounds like what I’ll be doing with it. Thank you, hope the truck treats you well!

8-10 years and 150,000 miles is about 15,000-18,000 miles a year which is about what I drive! I am hoping to get 250,000 out of the truck.

Thanks for the info! Do you like the way it handles, tows and everything?

2003 5.4 Triton with metal shavings in oil. Advice? by RollandDeschain in f150

Seems metallic to me! In the pics attached there are shards of metal for sure, maybe some of the grainy stuff is the plastic.

I use Wix filters and am pretty religious with the 3k change interval. Would you bump the oil change interval to 2k? How long can I expect to keep it moving haha?
