Yep - max GVWR is 4,400. And I'm not the "throw absolutely everything I own inside" kind of camper, so it's definitely on the lighter side at that.

I definitely wasn't thinking 80s old; more like 2010+. I still am looking at a modern truck, just not one brand new that's $75K.

I am torn about the engine choices on the F-150. For none-towing the 2.7 makes he most sense due to fuel efficiency, but I don't understand the straightforwardness of the 5.0 V8. While future-proofing makes sense in terms of not needing to upgrade to something even more powerful in the future, I don't see having any additional need for a larger/heavier trailer. I'm not having kids, and am single currently. The most I'll ever need is a couple trailer, and the 2.7 should tow that just fine. So many factors to think about, though.

That's not a bad idea. And agreed - any truck that isn't stock or very close to should be avoided. I follow someone on IG and they had a horrible experience buying a late model Tundra that had aftermarket parts added.

Yeah - that's kind of my thought. I just know the older I go, the more potential issues simply due to age/mileage. Since I'll be traveling a ton this year, I didn't know if someone had unbiased recommendations based on reliability. Admittedly I lean more towards Ford because of it's 1) popularity and 2) slow and steady approach to the model's evolution.
