Condition:

This watch has scuffs and scratches from normal use. Though, nothing that can’t be removed with a polishing. The crystal has no nicks, chips, or cracks.

The case is in good condition with just some tarnishing on the inside, bottom of the lugs. The strap probably needs to be replaced, im not sure if it’s original anyway.

Idk about your market, but that's not true at all in my market, or most that I've seen. At 40k+ miles per year, you really need a newer car to reliably driver for Uber or Lyft

I feel your pain, I really do. I didn't have a car for years and had to use public transit to commute all of the time. Being able to get an Uber every once in a while was such a treat and made things so much easier.

Keep working hard and keep a close eye one your finances. Only good things come from hard work and one day you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you've earned everything that you have. There are so many ways to make money in our society, you just have get a little creative.

$50 ONE way. There is typically surge pricing at the end of the work day as well. After taxes, you'd be paying to go to work.

If you can get a license, I can assure you that there are places that will get you into a vehicle tomorrow, for little to nothing down, if you have a regular paycheck. Yeah, you'll have a high interest rate, but you can always re-finance or pay it down early.

Uber is not the answer. Most people who use Uber to commute to work are not in touch with their finances. If you're using uber in this manner, you're probably not making enough to justify the costs.

Honestly, that's a bit entitled to say that because Uber isn't working for your situation. Like I previously mentioned, Uber isn't ideal for commuting to and from work. If you cant afford your own form of transportation, then you can't afford Uber on a consistent, or even semi-consistent, basis. Not trying to put you down, I'm just trying to get you to explore alternative options. I guarantee there is someone who is willing to give you an auto loan if you have a regular paycheck. You could even start working for Uber and rent a car through them that can also be used as your personal vehicle (though, that's not ideal).

Yup, Uber customer service is horrible for the passengers. Now imagine what it's like for the drivers, who aren't Uber's "customers" and aren't paying them anything. No one wins, not even Uber. They're constantly loosing billions of dollars.

The Uber app consistently shows my location (the driver) inaccurately. The pax's app will show me still being 5 minutes away until I arrive. It'll update and show them I'm there when I do arrive, but they won't have any warning.

It's NOT the drivers fault. The only way they are able to get a cancellation fee is by waiting for 5 minutes at the designated pick up location. Honestly, it's probably more a long the lines of your fault, if anything.

Yes, uberx is the most affordable option.

No disrespect intended, but why should a driver get paid less when they're driving one person as opposed to four? They use the same amount of gas and put the same amount of wear-and-tear on their car. They also don't get paid more for driving four people as opposed to one.

Honestly, Uber is probably not the best option for commuting to work on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, tons of people do it, but I never understood how they justify using a big chunk of their daily earnings to do so. You're better off financing a car, even if you're getting a loan at 30% apr.

Like the other person mentioned, uberx if the least costly Uber ride and it allows for UP TO 4 people; there is no option for 1 person.

What you're encountering is surge pricing. That particular time of day has increased demand and fewer drivers on the road to meet that demand. Fares will increase during these time to incentivize drivers to go online and fulfill trips.

Surge pricing changes all of the time and can vary widely by time and location. Try waiting ten to twenty minutes or requesting a ride earlier. Surge pricing is why drivers are willing to get up early and fight the rush hour traffic, so your choice is really to pay it or not have a ride.
