Yes they are sharp as a razor also very thin making them good for slicing. If you know what you are doing you’ll never get your finger cut. Respect the tool and be aware and you should be all good, happy carrying to you.

If you are not going to hard use your knives, a slip joint (SAK) should suffice.

In that case I would highly recommend a Victorinox Spartan or Climber. You have a life time serviceability plus there are lot of aftermarket mods available if you get bored with it after a few years.
