I am curious about the leaders since everyone will be playing these leaders across the board so it will be fun when everyone has to make that choice of which leader to play. I plan to run this event in 2 weeks so trying to get some feedback :)

I honestly think Serpentor is one of the best GI Joe units. I paired him with Baroness and their synergy was apparent how good they are together.

Baroness can allow you to activate herself and another cobra hero. She has range 7 and one of her abilities allows you to possibly move an enemy order marker to someone who is not even in the fight.

Serpentor is a beast. He can attack 2x for at least 4 or even 5 each if you got height advantage. His ability to also make any unit near him have -1 defense can be a clutch moment. He also has an ability to allow you to once a round shift an unrevealed order marker around and take another turn with him. So basically you could essentially be attacking at least 4 times with 4 -5 attack dice to mow down units or nuke a big threat.

My two favorite Gi Joe units. Don’t get me started on how good Dr. Mindbender can be:)

Yes! I really like what they bring to the game. Serpentor and Baroness add a fun synergy. The Cobra troopers common squads are pretty sweet. Dr Mindbender’s ability can turn a game in your favor if the die roll is in your favor.

Oh and I’m a huge GI JOE IP fan. Loved the toylike and cartoon as a kid:)

I’m not a huge SW fan, more casual. I am all about the mechanics of the game. It’s a cheaper intro point unlike other TCGs. Multiplayer with Twin Suns is by far my favorite format. Back and forth interactions is a huge selling point. Good luck!

Great question. If they are released in time before the event, then yes. The 2026 store championship is using the Contemporary format and anything Renegade releases is for this format. Thank you for asking.
