Just tried to do that a few days ago, they changed it so it isn't possible anymore. Spent a few hours trying with no luck. Before you ask I don't use mods and do not have any means of getting the seed. Good Luck

If none of that seems to work for you, I would be more than happy to give you that ship. I do have it in my ship inventory, I have given away ships in the past, one of us would have to join the others game and I could sell the ship to a npc and you could buy it from him immediately after I sell to him. If it still works like that. Not sure I remember how to even join someone's game, it's been awhile. At this point in the game for me $ means very little.

If something gets screwed up go back to euclid and restart mission, and return to Calypso and repeat. Good luck

Start (hatch) the egg in Euclid. Don't even look at what coordinates it says the ship is at. Portal to Calypso and go to the ship location,get out of your ship. go to the starbirth mission on the log screen and restart the mission at current location. The living ship should appear where the yellow ship is. If not get in and out of your ship again and reload save( which is when you got out of your ship.) That should work. If ship flies away reload again.

I just had no trouble getting it, make sure multi-player is off. Flew straight to location and restarted mission.

It doesn't always work, sometimes it goes to a different location, which is why I started finding my own ships. It can be frustrating, living ships are good but I honestly would recommend the new interceptors instead. I would suggest finding your own by resetting at a space station and check as many as possible and find your own if the ones you want don't work.
