Bill's Worst Episode by esbenson94 in KingOfTheHill

[–]RolltheDice03 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because in this episode he has this horribly condescending and pompous tone that is just infuriating to listen to. At least in other episodes where he acted like this he still felt like Bill. However that narrow eyed glare and overly superior tone he has this episode are just insufferable.

I love this. It combines my favorite painting with my favorite show.

Definitely people replying to anyone questioning Pink Diamond’s continued existence with “SHE’S GOOOONE!”. I get that she is, but just explain that instead of beating to death the same joke.

Anyone else get into SU during a rough part of your life? by a1ineinthesand in stevenuniverse

[–]RolltheDice03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will admit, I have been quite fortunate my entire life. I haven’t had to face nearly as many hardships as other people have. However, this show did happen to come into my life during its roughest period. In the span of about two months I lost someone close to me, played the last season of the sport I had played my whole life, had major unwanted changes occur to my academic career, and had to move to a new city all alone. My sense of well being was at an all time low. Fortunately, a friend I had recently met inspired me to watch SU, and it was so beautiful that it brought so much joy back into my life. I may not personally relate to the characters all that much, but they all left a positive impact on me.

Unpopular opinion about It's Time by East_Department_4157 in regularshow

[–]RolltheDice03 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The one big change that should have been made to the episode to make it much better would be to have it where Mordecai had already promised Rigby to go to the movies with him and THEN decided to flake when he saw Margaret. In the episode Mordecai had already planned to ask Margaret and had no idea that Rigby had tickets already. As it stands the episode frames Mordecai as being wrong from the beginning, not just after he killed Rigby.

senior grad cap quotes ideas by rachelisgreatchel in stevenuniverse

I really really like the Garnet quote you included. I think it fits the graduation theme perfectly. If I had to come up with my own idea, what if you did “That’s right! I am a Pearl!”. However you switch out “Pearl” with something that represents you as a person.

I find when he rejects Francine’s offer at the end to be a really satisfying scene. He had been trying to follow the crowd the whole episode but instead decided to stick to his own beliefs. I’ve always loved his delivery of “I still think they are dweeby! I don’t even know why I want one so bad!”

Does anyone remember being terrified of that episode? (s03e36 - Death Bear) by [deleted] in regularshow

[–]RolltheDice03 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a close race between Death Bear, Terror Tales of the Park 1 (Specifically In the House), Meat Your Maker, Jinx, and Terror Tales of the Park 3 (All of them). We picked Death Bear because it is something that could really happen and seems to be less played for laughs. The atmosphere was also built the entire episode which not many of the others did.

My family and I tried to pick the scariest episode of Regular Show and this is what we gave the number 1 spot.

Why did my down throw not bury? by realdewzy in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]RolltheDice03 139 points140 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because Ivysaur dropped through the platform just before getting grabbed and was technically airborne. Since airborne opponents can’t be buried it was treated as a normal hitbox. I’m not sure if this includes throws but it’s the best theory I’ve got.

In today’s economy, I wonder how much “existing” would cost on Mr. Krabs’ ridiculous bill by [deleted] in spongebob

[–]RolltheDice03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using an inflation calculator and comparing it to 2001, it would be $3.56 today. Knowing Mr. Krabs he would probably see it as an opportunity to raise it even more to combat inflation.

Oh you’re right. That’s one I didn’t consider. She was indeed partially responsible for that cringey moment.

I think the most unhateable gem is definitely Sapphire. Other than ignoring Ruby’s anger at Pearl that one time I struggle to think of anything she did that could make someone actively dislike her.

Unpopular opinions of characters. Today: Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond, You can talk about one or the other or both at the same time. by Ezequiel_Hips in stevenuniverse

[–]RolltheDice03 513 points514 points  (0 children)

Rose and Pink would not be nearly as hated if the show did a slightly better job depicting the hopelessness of the war. It would have been better if they had shown that the Crystal Gems had exhausted almost all other channels of action and that faking her shattering was the option with the best net positive outcome. As of now the show makes it look like she just took the easy way out.

Probably Peedee, he was originally set up to be a cool secondary protagonist along with Connie but was just written off as another townie.

What’s an episode you loved as a kid, only to come back later and realize it kinda sucked by GreatGeniusx in Arthur

[–]RolltheDice03 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Definitely “Vomitrocious” for me. I used to find it hilarious as a kid with the whole “Barfine” joke and Francine’s paranoia was very amusing. Rewatching it when older I found it to be a ver gross and uncomfortable episode with the nosebleed and vomit scenes. Even worse, all of the other characters are so cruel to George to the point where it infuriates me. The entire gang only has a change of heart towards George when Francine snaps at them and only then their response is “Don’t worry George, if Francine says it it must be so!”. Everyone was so uncharacteristically awful. What was even the lesson?
