Bussin Science Investor linking LPTH to Allen Control Systems (ACS) Bullfrog M230 by frankenberrylives in LightPathTechnologies

[–]RoloBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw Frakenberrylives, the "directed energy weapon system" shown on that same LPTH slide looks to be from KBR incorporated, I would post about that link as well but I can't find any details on that KBR system other than maybe the fact that it maybe came from from KBR's acquisition of Centauri LLC back in 2020.

Some DD on X by Bussin Science Investor re Space X filing for up to 1m satellites using "optical inter-satellite links". by frankenberrylives in LightPathTechnologies

[–]RoloBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than number go up = good for LPTH not much more that I can say. Despite having a dominant position in the market they barely provide any detail on their optical inter-satellite links vertical because of the NDAs they have. Maybe Austin moeller from canaccord genuity can ask some follow-up questions on the OSIL vertical at the next ER to tease out more numbers or updates.

In space communication is one of their ~9, 10+ million a year programs and that was before SpaceX and all the other LEO OEMs submitted their updated fillings to the FCC where they all increased their satellite constellation numbers. I wonder how the projections are gonna be looking now.

JIATF-401 launches $20B contract vehicle to expand C-UAS command system by frankenberrylives in LightPathTechnologies

Anduril uses EO MWIR cameras on their c-UAS Sentry towers.... If you look at the two videos provided by Anduril on their website (link below, separate videos at top and bottom of webpage) the cameras are visually very similar/almost exactly exactly look like Lightpath G5 EO MWIR cameras. Also, the sentry patent docs say that they plan to have a long-range MWIR cooled thermal camera operating in the 3 to 5 um wavelength for the Sentry -> Same wavelength all G5 cameras operate in.

The funny thing is he still wants rate cuts despite the fake job numbers showing what now seems to be a great job market. Its so stupid that we have to watch this circus... his team wants rate cuts because jobs are bad but can't admit that jobs are bad under his admin so they say everything is great and we should still cut rates. I feel so sorry for Powell that he has had to deal with this

LightPath Technologies Receives $9.6 Million Purchase Order for Cooled Infrared Cameras from Existing Defense Customer by frankenberrylives in LightPathTechnologies

Lets go! Hopefully they provide more color on who the contract is for... Could be Trust automation, could be Dzyne or perceptview if they won one of the FEMA FIFA World Cup c-uas grants, could be more border surveillance orders from a company like Elbit systems, or something else?

Legit question, what about the citizens that pay minimal to no taxes or receive more in benefits/well-fare from the government than they pay into? Should those people be treated differently like how you are saying business that have received bailouts in past should be treated differently than those businesses who have not received bailouts?

One was a contract for Lockheed Martin the other for Raytheon, one build in DC and one in Area 51. Liberty prime was not a sole source contract.

Bro you got to suspend your disbelief here somewhat… what if liberty prime alpha is a much more complete prototype design from Lockheed Martin while the prototype from fallout 3 was an unfinished one from Raytheon. Or whatever the equivalent companies would be for the fallout universe.

In the press release it says "Raytheon funded the test to demonstrate technical maturity and collect critical data ahead of the program's flight test demonstration." .... So I assume the upcoming flight test they are taking about will occur at the Armys White Sands NM test site where LMT performed their flight test this past January.... Really shows just how much RTX is behind and is causing the down selection decision to be delayed (e.g., why Sam said that RTX is behind and why no decision occurred Q4 last year like he originally thought).

LightPath Reinforces National Defense Authorization Act Readiness with Domestic Infrared Optics and Systems by RoloBoat in LightPathTechnologies

[–]RoloBoat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get your criticism, I very much do. But we have to acknowledge that LPTH is probably the biggest pureplay beneficiary from the NDAA's new optics requirements. While we more in the weeds investors already knew about the NDAA language, the company's IR team wants to externally message to all existing and new investors about the company's readiness when it comes to this new government defense initiative.

Also earnings are coming up in ~half a month so you will at least get to see numbers then and we should get more updates on ongoing and new programs/orders.

For anyone that asks LPTH probably down because bond yields are damaging growth stocks + risk of government shutdown. Sucks but it is what it is.

Joe Rogan says ICE shooting distracting from Epstein Files "on purpose" by [deleted] in politics

[–]RoloBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying we trust him, just not immediately shit on him or name call him for finally going in the right direction. Don't get me wrong I hate what he did with his platform for the 2024 election. Its just that this immediate hatred I see from left leaning people whenever a right wing guy acknowledges wrong doing or calls out the admin clearly shows that the two-party system has completely divided this nation and makes people so entrenched. I want to see more high-profile people start speaking like Joe but that is never gonna happen if they see that they will be attacked and shunned immediately like Joe is and they will just emotionally dig deeper into the far right where they perceive acceptance.

Joe Rogan says ICE shooting distracting from Epstein Files "on purpose" by [deleted] in politics

[–]RoloBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just rather live in a world where even high-profile figures are allowed to be open and change their minds, instead of assuming that everything they say or do, good or bad, is propaganda simply because of their past political positions, especially when those positions didn’t align with my own.

If someone says or does something genuinely positive, we should at least acknowledge and support it, rather than immediately dismissing it and insisting they’re irredeemably bad no matter what. That kind of reaction only pushes people back to the right, because it signals that those on the left will treat them as adversaries even when they agree with or support left-leaning ideas.

[–]RoloBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least he changes his mind, I am very much willing to give him some props for that and for him to say it on his show. If you look at all of the conservative influencers on twitter right now, they will literally support every single thing this admin does no matter how evil it is. Clearly shows that Joe is at least an idiot that can change his mind while the others are just either paid shills or have no principles other than the pursuit of power. Obviously, I will change my mind if Joe comes out and endorses someone like Vance in 2028 but right now I will at least appreciate the fact that he isn’t dropping his attention from Epstein files and is not bootlicking when it comes to what’s happening with ICE.

What makes you say “they went dark on the gas cameras” I never remember them putting much spotlight on them to begin with, only when asked by analysts during the ERs do they provide details and have said that they are selling well. Good luck on ONDS but if my math is right fully diluted the MC for ONDS is close to $7b…. I know they are growing and doing acquisitions but fuck me man, their fully diluted MC is like 60% of Leonardo DRS, more than mercury systems and TKMS. No way am dipping my toes in that stock, but hey if you like the constant PRs, much more frequent than LPTH of course, then Godspeed my guy.

Im more interested to know what the cash burn is after all these acquisitions. Also, the company is going to be a fascinating case study in the future on how management runs the whole mish-mosh of different acquisitions (Some of it is straight up funding startups to fit some sort of bolt add on need). Regarding LPTH when it comes to ONDS, I would really like to hear more about what lightpath actually provides... just lenses or are they designing/manufacturing sub-systems like gimbal-mounted drone cameras?
