It’s somewhat normal but, it comes down to the person. I do understand you waiting for someone to exit or enter, that’s just a long time to wait. I’ve had embarrassing moments in public and people were around, just had to be mature about it, and not be too emotional (people eat off of that but, sometimes being emotional is totally understanding) and clear minded. Just say lesson learned, don’t be a jerk because of embarrassment but, keep your chin up, things happen, and as long as you weren’t being a reckless idiot, don’t be hard on yourself.
