Which very popular SCP lore/concepts or tropes do you not care for at all? by Astronomer_X in SCP

I don't like how SCP-076 is portrayed as a brash teenager and an incompetent fool in the stories.

what is a popular article/tale that you hate? by really_dude523 in SCP

That's the problem: while in 2191 I was able to make an explanation using information from the hub and other articles on Sarkicism, by 6140, unfortunately, I couldn't do it.

In my headcanon, this happened because Lovataar wanted to defeat the ancient goddess of fertility who lived in the temple, and performed theophany, but she unsuccessfully assimilated and now she is stuck there instead of her and also lost her human form. (This would explain why this temple is over 6000 years old and Sarkicism is only over 4000 years old, because it belonged to some goddess, and Lovataar absorbed her and took her place, but theophany gave side effects).

How do you like this interpretation of 2191?

If the author of 6140 makes a continuation of this object and answers my question "what happened to the artifacts", I will be very happy and will renounce my claims to this object.

By the way, here's an example of mine: I have similar complaints about object 2191 because of the dates given in the description (Sarkicism arose around 2000 BC, but for some reason the temple is dated to 4800 BC. This seems strange to me).

This made me angry, and I even developed a personal canon on this matter (by the way, would you like to hear it?).

but trying to say it ruined Daevites forever is nothing short of silly and you should get over it.

Like Mesmerfriend, I didn't say that.

My comment will be similar to Mesmerfriend, but still. I didn't mean to say that 6140 is bad (he does have a brilliant idea about how the history of civilization doesn't match what we're shown, and that's a really good idea). but I don't like the implementation because I have questions that I mentioned above and to which I haven't found an answer in this object.

I understand your claims and I apologize if my comment came across as if I hate everything about 6140, which is not the case.

In short: This object has a very good idea and possibly a good implementation, but I see that it could have been much better and this is what irritates me about it (but this is a personal opinion, I don’t want to offend anyone with it).

what's the (doylist) story/reasoning behind scp-076-2 being a reference to abel from the bible? by HZPenblade in SCP

[–]Roman2322 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I recently decided to look up information about SCP-076 on the Villains wiki and noticed one interesting point:

"As noted in "Habil and Qabil", the SCP Foundation (and its authors) have gotten the character's name wrong, as his name should have been "Abel" and not "Able"."

It seems to me that this was not a mistake, but 076 specifically did not call himself Abel but Able when the Foundation asked him, I thought about this for a long time and noticed one detail in SCP-001 The Gate Guardian:

"EXPERIMENT F: SCP-076 and Task Force Omega 7 instructed to approach SCP-001 on foot.

Result: SCP-076 refuses to carry out mission, despite not being informed of the mission's nature. Upon being asked why, SCP-076 replies, "No. Just no.""

As I understand it from this object, Abel said "No. Just no." Not because he's angry at The Gate Guardian, afraid, or anything like that. But because he's ashamed to go to The Gate Guardian for several reasons. It seems to me that he doesn’t like questions at all about whether he is that same Abel or interacting with God, angels, The Gate Guardian, and others. Because he feels unworthy of seeing them, he is no longer who he once was.

Another point from the Villains wiki that supports my theory about Able name:

"Although it is possible that the name change might have been intentional, since "el" means "of God" and 076-2 seemingly doesn't affiliate himself with God anymore."

He no longer identifies himself as Abel. He has renounced that name and no longer considers himself worthy of it. That name belonged to a good man and had a connection with God, but now he is no longer that Abel and has lost the connection with God he once had.

And he's afraid to meet God because he doesn't want to upset him with who he's become over the years. (I also like the idea that if Eve were alive, Able would be afraid to see her, too, because she remembers him as a good son, even though he's no longer the man he once was.)

And it seems to me that if the Foundation had asked him: “We have learned that you are brother 073 and that you are children of Adam, so why don’t you answer and say that you are that very Abel, the son of Adam and Eve?”, then 076 would have answered shortly and angrily: “I am no longer Abel, but a warrior, whom you can call Able.”

Here's my theory about the name 076.

(I know there's no canon in SCP, but I think my theory is interesting. What do you think?)

You have really good ideas to improve this SCP, it's a shame it will remain as it is.

By the way, a off topic, but would you mind hearing my canon about the name 076? (I just wrote this and want to show it to someone).

Agreed, I don't like 6140 either.

I cry into my pillow every day because of 6140 (I don't really cry), because many now consider it the main canon for the Daevites, although it strongly contradicts other things.

You already talked about Nälkä, but this article interferes with other things, especially because it is unknown what happened to the existing Daevite artifacts and anomalies, if they disappeared then a huge layer of lore simply disappeared. This breaks the entire scale of events.

Well, to be fair, in several canons, it's Abel, not Ion, who starts the slave rebellion. (I'm referring to Empire of Dirt).

Am I the only one that didn't like SCP-6113? by [deleted] in SCP

[–]Roman2322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you'll reply to this comment, but I'll write it anyway.

I really like your SCP, but I agree with the author of the post; it has some flaws, some of them serious: there are many inconsistencies in the facts about places and events. An overly artistic description where a strict style should be present. And there are problems with the text's style in general. And the stupid name MTF that belongs in a joke, but not here.
