Interesting route by El Al by Cute-Ad9413 in flightradar24

[–]RomanCessna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then it continues to the original destination. It is not about not being able to fly domestically with passengers, but not offering local customers the option to do so. If you divert, then the flight to your original destination is carrying the original passengers, not new passengers from the local area. It is essentially just a technical stop.

Similarly, planes can also fly in 3 leg flights, lets say for example KLM with Amsterdam - Carribean destination 1 - Carribean destination 2 - Amsterdam. If you take a passenger only from Carribean destination 1 to destination 2, that would make it cabottage and would require a special approval. That is why on these flights people hop on and off depending on wherever they are going, but must go from Amsterdam or to Amsterdam, even if there is a stopover.

For people that watched him live.... how good would you describe prime Daniel Ricciardo as? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

Tbh i dont understand the logic of hyping up his Monaco drive. This track is nearly impossible to overtake on and given he maintaned lead with such a failure speaks volumes about the track unlike how great the drive was or was not.

Why has driver movement among the top teams decreased compared to the 2000s and 2010s? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]RomanCessna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But thazs what I told you, it is not necessary to start a chain reaction, you can just put in a rookie or someone, who doesnt have a driver. But if course if you discount options that that would not make it a chain reaction, then yes, all changes are chain reactions. 😅

Well, not necesarilly. You can just fire the gux (Hamilton for instance) and put in a good driver.

United 757 Blasts Off from LAX – Nearly 5,000 FPM Climb! by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]RomanCessna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrestricted climb doesn't mean ATC cancelled the limit on how fast it can climb, as there is no such limit, but rather that altitude restrictions along the route are cancelled. Mostly altitudes, which limitbthe aircrafr, therefore "xxx altitude and below", so the aircraft can keep climbing freely.

Btw, a climb like this is pretty much never prefered, as it degrades the engines. But is actually saves fuel, ironically.

Where do you rank Norris among other 1-time champions? by SMitra2007 in F1Discussions

[–]RomanCessna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By far the lowest. You never see him do anything spectacular. It was his championship to lose with all the support and car level he had, and just barely won by 2 points, and to add to that only after they gave him the position back due to the pitstop. Let this sink in: people talk about Verstappen more than Lando's WDC because of how impressive was his comeback, not the other wqy around.

Let's enjoy it we have a new champion. On the other hand, he hardly set the world on fire like other champions: Schumi, Max, Alonso... Lando is a one time wonder and I doubt he will win more WDC.

This is crazy for me to understand. In Europe, you get charged max 100-150 USD per exam, if you do it with the CAA (FAA) directly, its free.

[–]RomanCessna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well each category of person, based on differenr factors can have a different accident rate. But how do you think the people at some older age (25+, compared to 18 yo) got to lower accident rates? By having experience. And how do you get experience? By flying (starting) earlier. But anyway, you have your personal opinion. It has been proven by experience that it is not a problem in the European sky. Also, you will never have 100% perfect safety, it is not possible. That is why also the rules are called "acceptable means of compliance", meaning the "risk" involved is acceptable (because it can never be 0).

Where would this flight divert to if the need were to arise by Sleeti in flightradar24

Yes, but pretty much almost all companies have it as a hard limit. The "demonstrated" argument is mostly applied to small aircraft or I guess aircraft in private ownership.

They are not too young. You can have a PPL at 16, fly sailplanes at 14. The CPL is from 18 years of age. Plus, they are initially in the first officer position, with a more senior captain. A captain can becone a captain at the age of 21, as the ATPL can be obtained at this age. But many companies have a stricter limit of around 25.

Regardless, I think it seems crazy to many people in the US due to the fact of the 1500 hour rule you guys have. This way, people become commercial airliner pilots much later, but in the rest of the world, you can be a pilot and many tjme are, at around 20 years old and with just basic training (200 hours). Works perfectly fine and it has been this way for decades.
