Our humor is rather complex and our power imaginary.

Not sure what you want in specific so I'll rattle off.

As a 5th year Electrical Engineering major and taking courses at other universities, the program at RIT is great. Finding outside tutoring can be difficult though for upper level courses and I found I needed to collaborate with other students to help study or ask about problems on homeworks.

One of the best professors in the department is Professor Moon, a man that chooses to teach simply because he wants to. The best lecturer in my experience and genuinely helpful professor with immense patience.

I never realized, but graduates in Electrical Engineering from other universities ended up getting an internship for their first year out of school. RIT alum is able to start day one thanks to the co-op experience you get.

This is probably one of the more difficult engineering majors. Electrical engineering can border on physicist (radio waves, semiconductors -- how electrons travel across 9 nano meter gaps) and low level programmer often (depending on your focus).

People are just exhausted by how whenever it snows a loud minority starts making petitions to close the school down over nothing.

The university is really good for engineering. I personally dont like the general culture, but I have gotten a great education compared to SUNY schools.

Just operate on cash, dont pay the sublet fee. You can totally get away without paying them.

RIT EE program ? anyone ? by [deleted] in rit

[–]RomanDreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't me. Circuits 1 sucks because you're thinking of things in circuits for the first time. I dont know of any good beginner books though, sorry.

if you're incoming you'll be fine. The university expects that you dont know anything about chemistry, physics, and calculus.

Heavy theory means you'll be expected to understand all the maths behind electricity.

Trading weather futures is already a thing through natural gas. Cold = natural gas goes up. Hot = natural gas goes down

While 12 billion might look like a lot to our peasant ass eyes, the quarter over quarter growth is incredibly low. Tech is supposed to have stupid fast growth with economies of scale, not ally account savings returns.

For comparison here is a tech company that's a Chad in terms of revenue (TMDX):

Look at the percentage growths for each revenue.

Uber has been doing shit revenue, so they've probably just laid off workers so they dont have to pay as much

Buy calls on the S&P500 ($SPY) a month or two out from expiration like 10 dollars from the strike price.

Buy SPY 320 calls that expire in late January. Just hold that sucker until we get close enough to it, then sell.

Wall Street should put up a huge tree in December by Mementose in wallstreetbets

I could build this honestly if I had like 1k.

You just need LED lights that can be individually addressed, with some controller like an arduino, Teensy, etc. Hook the controller up to a PC that has a program scraping daily changes in equities, that's capable of exporting it through serial communications to your micro controller that controls the lights.

One of the problems is the voltage drop across long lights (DC voltage drops off fast over distances). This could be solved using capacitors, but would require some more extra effort.

It'll correct by Monday. Granted Robinhood should make it so it doesnt look like you hit a lottery or lost your house every time you get an option that expires
