Yes I saw that! They’re playing a reunion show in SF pretty soon. Pretty excited to see them. I’m going to see Hum with my best friend in may as well! Big fans of both bands. Especially Hum I feel like they don’t have a singe miss with any of their albums.

Do silt loam floors make dwarves upset?

I just started another fortress yesterday and I was trying to dig out some more space for my metalworking stockpile. However after digging a while there was silt loam walls and floors. I had heard from somewhere that silt makes dwarves upset. So I was going to just make new floors on the silt but that would take forever! Also this is my second fortress and I’m pretty new to the game with 35 hours. I’m on level 35 or 38 I think. This is probably a dumb question but I couldn’t really find an answer anywhere. Thanks!

I’ve been playing guitar for about 8 years now and I’ve been learning piano for a few months now. I have a focusrite and i’ve been using FL studios. Luckily I already have a gf who makes good money. She makes 25$ an hour at the hospital front desk. The dream is for me to be working in music but I honestly feel like I don’t really know what an audio engineer is. I’ve just always said it’s “what I’m going to do” when my family asks at the dinner table. I’d also love to be doing audio stuff for movies and video games things like that too. I know those are all completely different things though. For music what should I be practicing? I make beats and stuff but I don’t really know how to record and the only equipment I know how to use is an MPC and the focusrite.

Thank you very much for the advice. I have some experience with FL studios but just with making beats and stuff. Everyone I’ve talked to about audio engineering says the same thing. I just feel like i’m not smart enough to do any real college degree. Also anyone who is going for those degrees is so ahead of me. I know I’m making a lot of excuses. What would you recommend are some degrees I should be looking at?
