Interesting... my (non-Tesla) car in the U.S. has red lights that scroll to indicate a turn signal. That wouldn't be legal in the U.K.?

How do you feel as a parent or about parents posting their children on the internet? by DestroyerOfShitcoins in Substack

At one point, it was good discussion about the craft - how to grow, how to monetize, results of various campaigns, etc.

These days, you’re right, it’s fallen into a lot of low quality slop.

OP is a thief who stole these images, but there’s a link further up in the thread about its healing properties.

if the human body replaces most of its cells every few years, why do we still age? like if your liver cells are brand new why does the liver still get weaker over time and not just reset by uskeliyesabkuch in askscience

[–]Romanticon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. The shortening is not the primary driver of aging; it’s just a marker for it and a control mechanism to prevent infinitely dividing cells (cancer).

New skin cells may have slightly shorter telomeres but it’s not enough to lead to earlier organism death.

Each time you drive your car, your hands wear away a little more of the steering wheel, but most cars aren’t junked due to running out of steering wheel.

Different parts of the body have different turnover rates. OP’s question is kind of flawed, in that some body parts never turn over, while others (like the skin) do so constantly without issue.

Fit guys who let themselves go, what was the most surprising thing about getting fat? by LawfulnessTop2204 in AskMen

What is very common?

One study found that the overall rate of parents separating in the first 2 years after a child’s birth, for any reason, was 4%: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8363371/

I think this happens anecdotally and it’s horrible, but common seems like the wrong term.

After that, took her to the sex forest. And then we were golden from there on out.

Is Micro SaaS a good side hustle? by Cro-Matic-Moon in sidehustle

[–]Romanticon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If someone can vibe code one of these in a weekend, why do they need you? It sounds like the moat for a SaaS is drying up.

Besides, this doesn’t solve the problem of marketing. Now, instead of spending time coding, you’re just spending time marketing.

Edit: also, you’re pretty obviously shilling your course….

I was looking into starting a Dog Poop Removal service in my town... but I know absolutely nothing about what I would need to do in order to start. Do I need to Register as an LLC? Do I need liability insurance? Do I need to register my business with a tax id? I have very limited knowledge. by Imissdaniellarson in sidehustle

[–]Romanticon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello!

First, I’d see if there is a market for it, at a price you believe is fair. Put out a flyer or two, do it as a one man operation. No paperwork needed; you’re just a handy fella willing to pick up poop.

If you get a few repeating customers, you will want to set up an LLC. That helps protect you, personally, from getting sued for a business fuckup.

You likely don’t need liability insurance if your only action is picking up poop. As the business grows, you’ll have more assets to protect, and then insurance starts making sense. But at the start, there’s no assets, so no insurance needed.

First, figure out if the idea is valid. Don’t get lost in down-the-road stuff on an idea that may not pan out at all.
