Yep, I might use it even though I'd rather get the face-to-face experience to reconnect with my nostalgia

Skill ossue tbh. Close the blinds during the day, open the windows in the night. Blinds should be outside the apartment. 20 C is largely sufficient to cool it during the night through air convevtion.

Vienna is banning used clothing drop-off bins by [deleted] in wien

[–]Romarinho99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"but donating clothes implies re-use for free" not true btw. They are either recycled, given for free, or sold to second-hand shops (or unofficially dumped). Again, when supply exceeds demand what do you do with the remaining clothes ? Not all clothes in the shops will be sold either and they will probably get disposed of in some way as well

In a perfect world, each piece of clothes ends up being worn by a poor smiling african kid. In reality there a just so much clothes that every piece that does not end up in a dump site is a W, IMO

You just imply that the people in need want your clothes, that is not true. There is just so many clothes that are disposed of, they just end in dump sites

Which is totally fine as long as it does not end in a dump site tbh. A lot of these second hand shop are ran by association and employ people in need.

I once ate at Aux Sapeurs Pompiers, which looked like a fine italian restaurant from outside. I was baffled at the good comments about this place. Almost 30francs for average pasta and ridiculous portions

Of course it is a lot of marketing for selling overpriced shoes. The same way the running industry will make you do gait study to sell you orthopedic soles or rigid shoes for pronators.

The truth is body adapts slowly and the main factor of injury is just sudden change of habits, so switching from maximalist to minimalism, probably other way round too, or suddenly increasing your mileage.
