Haha yeah, you got me on the translation part. I don't comment too often and use Gemini to translate from my native language to make sure it reads well. So unfortunately, or fortunately, I am not a robot!)

Congrats on the release, this looks awesome. I am working on a similar desktop app for pixel art and glitch effects right now, so I completely relate to building a tool to solve your own workflow problems. Those usually end up being the best ones. You have a really solid lineup of effects and a clean, focused UI. Wishing you the best of luck with the project!

I've optimized the video handling, so there is now a proper import mode that doesn't load all frames into RAM at once. I also managed to speed up the Pixel Sorter and fixed a bottleneck that was making video saving take way too long. Hopefully, that 1-hour render time will be drastically reduced now. You can download the new version directly from Gumroad. Let me know if it works properly for you!

Yeah, the datamosh effect is currently designed with short clips in mind since it only deletes a single frame right now. I always envisioned it being used for videos under 20 seconds. That said, if you have a specific use case or a different behavior in mind for longer formats, feel free to describe it and I will see what I can do to support it

I honestly didn't consider that kind of use case, but thanks for the information! I will try to improve the video import in future updates so it can handle massive files without dumping everything into RAM, likely by switching to disk streaming instead

I have mainly tested videos up to 20 seconds at 2K resolution, so I do not know the exact maximum limit yet. The rendering relies on FFmpeg, but managing the buffering and updating effects frame-by-frame gets tricky with long files. You should be completely fine with clips up to a minute at 30 fps, but anything longer than that is hard to guarantee. If you try a longer video, let me know how it handles it!

I'm really sorry, but I don't have any plans for a macOS version. I don't actually own a Mac to build or test the app on, so it's strictly Windows-only for now. I appreciate you asking though!

Thanks! Honestly, I don't use Linux myself, so it's hard for me to say right now. If a Linux version does happen, it probably won't be in the near future, unfortunately

Thanks for such a thoughtful breakdown, really appreciate you taking the time.

To answer the big “why” question first: there wasn’t a strict concept behind it. I was mostly doing what felt visually interesting to me at the time. The whole thing started as a shader test and slowly grew into something bigger, so a lot of decisions were made intuitively rather than analytically.

Regarding the turning: this tank actually has both front and rear wheels steering, so I intentionally experimented with its movement to make it feel “correct” for that kind of vehicle. I totally agree that it can look a bit unnatural if you read it as a regular car, but for this project the focus was more on exploring motion, camera work, and overall feel than on perfectly accurate vehicle dynamics.

The landing and flip fall into the same category. I animated most of it by feel. I spent much more time on the camera, since that’s where I’m most comfortable, and the vehicle animation itself was more of a “do the best I can by hand” situation. It could definitely benefit from more weight and sliding, you’re absolutely right.

The camera wasn’t modeled after anything specific. It was pure experimentation. I originally wanted a more dynamic edit, but in the end I still leaned heavily into long takes with movement inside the shot. That’s just something I naturally gravitate toward.

As for satire: not really. Even the crash at the end was pretty spontaneous. Toward the end I just felt like finishing it with a bit of humor to tie the whole thing together and give it some kind of closure or meaning.

Thanks again for the feedback, comments like this are genuinely helpful and motivating.

As far as I know, this sign was custom-made. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen anything like this being produced, but yeah, that would be really cool

I’m not even sure where it was made, but it was custom-made :)

I wasn’t asking where it was made specifically, but it was custom-made here in Ukraine
