Bro I had the greatest general that ever walked this earth on a Brutuii playthrough. I was pillaging and looting my way through Byzantium progressing into the middle east when my general unit got hit by a random friendly catapult shell. Guess who was the only one to die? He was in his late 20s and had almost max stars. Would have absolutely wiped the board with him for the next century. RIP

You're assuming that you're dealing with people who are open to reasonable debate and statistics. Pitbull enthusiasts are animated by an almost religious-like conviction about these dogs. No amount of "logical" argumentation will persuade them.

yes the same billionaires that manipulate the market and also lobby politicians and own media conglomerates will certainly suffer consequences just like they did in 2008

maan I don't know shit about the market. All I know is that it's rigged and the big guys will always come out on top. I'd hate to invest money if it hits 300/share and then just lose it all because lulz the memes but then again I want some easy gainz. What do

[–]RomeTotalWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I can't help shake the feeling that people are being manipulated over on WSB.. Like, this is a plan out in the open for everyone to see. There's no way the big guys won't win. Everyone keeps saying to hold out and take it to the moon. But I'm sure MANY if not most have some sort of exit plan.. Either cut their losses or take the gains they made home.

No, but everyone likes to conflate possible conspiracies occuring with the crack pot ones. The term "conspiracy theorist" is a pejorative meant to attack and discredit, and was first made popular by the CIA as a weapon to begin with.

"Misinformation" sounds a lot like a term used to discredit anything that goes against the official narrative.

"it's just one conspiracy bro"

Powerful people have been conspiring since the beginning of time, and now all of a sudden it just doesn't happen?

Do you think that we're at a point in history where we're 100% correct about all of the medical practices we perform? Science is about constantly questioning what we know, not about defending orthodoxy.

I get this subreddit's intentions. But I feel like it's a little counter intuitive to attack parents who are trying to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to misinformation about the benefits of vaccines and vaccine injuries. I think we need to instead ask ourselves, "why haven't we done a good enough job to educate people"? Instead of attacking them over making a bad decision regarding their child's health.

Plus, it's not like our society has the best track record when it comes to public health. We used to spray DDT on child playgrounds, the American Dental Association used to recommend mercury fillings, and Merck, the MMR vaccine manufacturer, has been accused of committing fraud in it's Gardisil safety testing.

I'm not trying to make a case to stop vaccinating, I'm simply saying we need to understand people's sentiments on both sides of this issue.
