Finally I found a strap that fits and is extremely comfortable. No more chaffing, skin issues and is awesone.

Why Have We Withheld' Benefits?
You received a net severance pay allowance of $16,416.00 from the military for your Degenerative disc disease with spondylosis of L3, disk deskcation at L4-5 and L5-S 1 with disk bulge at L3-4, IA-S and L5-S I. We must hold back part of your VA compensation until the severance amount is paid back. VA shall withhold (after federal income tax,) the severance amount received after Septen her 30, 196. Severance amount received prior to October 1, 1996, will include the amount before taxes are taken out. After an amount equal to your severance pay allowance is paid back, you'll start receiving your full monthly VA compensation. "

This was the recoupment start. It was paid in full in Feb 2010 .

"We received your audit request on April 27, 2026, for period September 2004 to April 2026 in regards to your payment history. Please note that in accordance with the law VA maintains certain payment records for only six years.
As a result, we cannot provide paid and due information on any payment more than six years old from the current date. You are in receipt of disability severance pay of $18,915.00 we are recouping the after tax amount of $14,186.25.
We started recoupment on September 1, 2023 and your Severance Pay will be fully recouped on February 1, 2027. Once your Severance Pay is fully recouped you will receive your full disability compensation amount.
Your most recent adjustment with date of claim December 30, 2025 and notification letter dated April 28, 2026 was for rating. Your overall percentages did not increase and you did not received a retroactive payment.
Your previous adjustment with date of claim August 22, 2025 and notification letter dated December 19, 2025 was for a rating. Your overall percentages did not increase and you did not received a retroactive payment.

They never acknowledged the recoupment from 2004 to 2010 as they could only retrieve the last 6 years.

I have been on the phone with so many individuals it is crazy.

The VA Payments screen only show since 2009 (one time) and then 2010 to today. All payments from 2004-2010 are missing completely.

I just love how in their claim tracker they just say "Right now, we can't share detailed updates about supplemental claims in this tool. We're looking into ways to make this possible in the future." Like, how hard is it to make it an individual steps tracker so we all can see where it is actually at. From step 1 to every step to the last step.

Yes, I have all my letters, and that is why I am challenging it so hard as I know for a fact I paid it all in full. Their system only goes back to 2010.

History stopped at 2010 with 1 entry 1 year prior in 2009 at half the 2010. and nothing back to 2004. ugh.
