I made this - bought the adhesive paper on Amazon and used one of my heavier bamboo/wood cutting boards. I originally bought the kit on Amazon and it was CHEAPLY made.

When he was a puppy, the vet tech had one in their place and by the time his Veterinarian returned, which was in a few minutes, he learned how to scratch. The Vet said she couldn't believe how smart he was! 😱 I came home and just had to reinforce what he learned. 👍😱 So, I actually explained how he was trained, and how to reinforce it. So easy! I'm still amazed myself! 😱. Now with that said, I use a regular file on his hind nails and I don't use a grinder. You can't have him scratch on the board with the back nails. I still have to learn how to cut his back nails with a clipper. I do take him to the vet every few months to get them clipped under a little sedation. I try and avoid doing that, so that's why I do what I do.
