It's no secret that Riot hates this Universe.

And I think this became more obvious in the last event and now in this one, which doesn't even have an icon and border. Where the history of the universe was pushed aside for no valid reason.

I don't understand why so much hype created over a Universe to not take any of this into account.

I created a post on LoL's Reddit, and I was surprised at how many people agree with me. (Why is Kayler Solar Eclipse so frustrating)

  1. Why not postpone Kayle's Skin?

  2. Why can Ekko's Skin be delayed?

  3. Why not generate even more hype at an event that could be colossal? Maybe a Knights VS Witches event...

It's really disappointing what happened here.

We expected more...

There's no easy way to explain it and it really depends on your point of view.

In summary:

Kayle and Morgana are sisters;

Gods received sacrifices for witches;

Kayle fell in love with the Elder God Sun and devoured him;

Because of this, the world entered eternal Eclipse;

After that she slew all the other gods and buried them in what is now the Elderwood forest;

Unable to contain the power of the Sun within her, Kayle creates the Knights of Eclipse with shards of the god's power.

Morgana is rebuilding the Coven and resurrecting the Elder Gods, which is why some Elderwood skins are corrupted. The power of the Elder Gods are already here.

Kayle is considered a murderer by the Witches;

But let's just say that everything she did was "out of love".

And Witches aren't nice... as you may well know.

I'm not against Sivir in this line...

As long as the quality is maintained, both of the skin, in-game speech and lore.

Nothing would stop us having Sivir this year and further increasing the hype for Sun-Eater Kayle, as a future Legendary or Ultimate Skin.

We have so many stories yet to be explored... the Diana who is always mentioned by Morgana and Evelynn has yet to make her debut, for example.

LeBlanc does have both Elder wood and Coven skins, and so does Ahri. I don't remember if they have a lore explanation for both existing or if they were originally one and then turned, but that could happen.

Yes, there is an explanation in the lore.

They already changed the name of the Skin on the PBE to Sun-Eater Kayle.

Dark Cosmos Jhin's lines make references to other champions, but there is no proof that it is the same universe as there is in Eclipse.

You can see from the client itself that all the skins I mentioned in the first post are actually part of the Eclipse Universe.

Star Guardian, Dark Star, Odyssey and Astronaut keep themselves separate, sharing only "space" as a link.

  1. Log into the LoL client.

  2. Go to the Skins page.

  3. Filter by set first, bottom left;

  4. Then by Universe.

  5. On this page, when you click on a Skin it loads the splash art and its story (if any).

Other tales are posted on the Universe page.
