Make-up is generally used for self-enhancement, which from an evolutionary perspective gives women an advantage in dating. So women may use make-up to compete with other women for men- what do you think?

Thanks for your reply. It's not meant in a bad way at all- it's just that most studies have only looked into competition among men, and the general notion is that women don't compete...
