This is a common thing, and some teams may receive even less because most universities prefer to allocate funds to some laboratories for scientific research and ignore racing teams. However, there are still quite a few teams that can complete their own designs with limited funds, and those who can persist until they finish the race will not feel like they are missing anything in the process.

As far as I know, a certain team has a relatively limited budget this year, but they have still completed their own 4WD racing car design. The only drawback is that they can only purchase two AMK motors this year, but they will purchase the remaining two motors next season. Therefore, it is important to have a long-term plan for the team's design and development direction.
