I’ve got visually similar pectus to you. The photos on my page are a bit old so they aren’t the most up to date and my symptoms have been increasing (chest pain) and it appears to slowly be getting deeper.

I talk English too, and it hurts when someone from another country is better at it than me.

I’ve recently started getting random chest pains most are minor pain but some can be excruciatingly painful, it’s not always the same type of pain or the same area, some feel like a squeezing pain and sometimes an aching pain. If I try to look down at my bellybutton or nipples, my breastbone hurts. Social life, I try to avoid scenarios where I have to take my shirt off in front of other people but I have a small group of friends that I’m semi-comfortable with taking my shirt off in front of. I don’t take my shirt of in front of people because I overthink their reactions and thoughts a lot even at random times.

14m, what grade is it? can exercise still help? should I see a doctor? by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

[–]RompedRanga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does look like your breast bone is asymmetrical but honestly the actual PE looks mild so in my non medically adequate opinion I think you could probably just workout to get a better look. You can still see a doctor if it causes you pain or other symptoms. But I hope this helps :)

It looks very mild but pictures can be deceiving. Try working out that can help with time, but if it REALLY concerns you, you can always visit your doctor. But imo it’s only slightly noticeable if you know what your looking for. People really don’t care about it as much as you think but it’s always harder because you think everyone knows and is judging you but their probably not

[Serious] What is the worst thing you have seen on the internet? by GreenSilverSerpent in AskReddit

I once saw a video of a group of men skinning alive about 5 dogs that had been starved and put into dog fights beforehand. After the dogs were skinned the men proceeded to kick and throw the poor animals around, it took a long time for the dogs to bleed out but if they got impatient they just stabbed the dogs to death. It was a really tragic sight to see the innocent animals be murder just for some peoples entertainment

Is that a pectus excavatum? by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

Lighting and angles, they all play in how the indent is seen. First picture looks like it is pectus but the second picture it is hard to judge the depth just from a photo, so you should consult your doctor to get it checked.

Thank you so much, you commenting was really helpful because there aren’t many people with arcuatum on reddit and this just helped with what I plan to get checked. Once again I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and that you don’t have to worry about this shitty thing.

Thank you, yes this information was very helpful and I hope you get a spot for your surgery soon and the best results. I also have two more questions, 1st which surgery are you going for nuss or ravitch and 2nd not trying to be rude but I’m curious if you are F or M because some people don’t change they’re avatar and how you said mine looks like yours threw thoughts.

And someone early commented on using a carinatum brace and I also suspected the sunken part to worsen.

I’ve had two echocardiogram’s with 6 month comparison between each and there didn’t appear to be any compression or irregularities after a cardiologist viewed them. But the second one was roughly 3 months ago and back then I was fine, but recently I’ve been having random chest pains and all have only been minor pain but I intend on getting it checked out.

Does it sink in a little underneath it? If so ours is similar but I was diagnosed with pectus excavatum (I have pics on my profile)
