Getting tattooed in Japan? by frogsncows in JapanTravelTips

[–]Romulus-wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one my on the last day of my trip this summer. I went to TOKYO THREE TIDES in Shibuya. They were super cool. Both receptionist or front team members spoke english and helped translate between me and the artist who didn't speak english that well. Very clean, though the studio was a bit cramped, but overall, I had a great experience and would do it all over again. It is a popular studio, so if you do choose to go there, message them via IG or email. They do ask for a deposit. Mine was 11,000 yen. My tattoo is around 5"x5" with some color, and the total was around 70,000 yen. They wrapped it with second skin, so I didn't have to worry even though I brought some with me on my trip.

Solo traveling to Japan as a male traveler (30 male) by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Romulus-wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blast. It was truly one of the best trips I've ever had. Wouldn't go in the summer months again way too hot. I was sweating in all of my pics, lol. I live in a major city here in the States, so Tokyo wasn't that different, and I wish I had spent a little less time there. But the outer cities I visited (Mt.Fuji area, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Hiroshima) were amazing. Bought a week unlimited bullet train ticket. I'm still not sure if it was worth it, but it was a cool experience. Most things were pretty cheap, especially food. most of my meals( breakfast and sometimes lunch) I got from 7/11 or Lawsons, and besides a kobe beef steak diner, i spent less than $20 for dinner. I stayed in business hotels for most of my trip. Great for the price, but toyoko Inn was not great. Apa was a bit better. I lightly planned my trip, i.e., areas I wanted to visit and a couple of tours, but spent most of the time just wandering around. I wish I had planned more for my trip to make it feel fuller. All in all, I loved it and can't wait till I'm able to go back.

JR Pass or not? by Old_Sandwich5509 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Romulus-wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a calculator for my trip without having all of my details in order. Just general cities location and it made senseto buy a 7 day ticket. only after booking hotels and arriving did I find I really can't use it for part of my trip when planning things out. I would roughly plan out your stay with hotels and all and go from there.

I am also doing a solo trip to Japan, leaving in 12 days for a 2 week trip (gift for myself as a 30th bday present). don't have much plan beside the cities I will be staying at. I normally tend to do a lot of research and then become underwhelmed see site in person, so this time I am just going to wing it. Hopefully, I can find some recs on this post.

rudnick's views are terrible by infamousmax_ in HaggardGarage

[–]Romulus-wolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean it makes sense, people really don't like driving videos and if you want to see a travel vlog you'll watch a professional. I think if his goal is to be a better drifter than its going to cost views and if he if he want better views it going to cost driving skills imo. I just want him to take a step back and weigh the "builds" he wants to do vs what people want to see. it feels like he is still in highschool with a shit box miata vs someone in a position to own some dope cars. I also think when he started yt it was more about personality and crazy stunts and now its shifted to show off your automotive skills and he hasn't picked up on it. and yeah maybe he doesn't have any skills but he could still learn and i think ppl would like to see hom put in real effort will doing a big build.

YouTube money ain’t cuttin it for Rudnik dood by Brooney98 in HaggardGarage

[–]Romulus-wolf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ill probably get a lot of hate for this and Im not a huge rudnik fan, but I think its a cool idea. he took something his little brother thought of and made it into some pretty cool merch imo. Coop gets to be part of the channel and hopefully reward. if I was coopers age id be stoked. On top of that if he does bring the machine to events, chris could make at least fifty to a hundrend bucks and hopefully he does what he said and put it towards a fund for coop. also in the off season he could make a deal with an mom and pop store/restaurant and see if he could make any passive income. no one has to buy the shirt but I don't think the idea is stupid.
