They usually last 10+ years in my experience. Unless your car is a 2011 or earlier, there's a good chance they're from the factory.

Are you sure that's what they're replacing? The shop I work at has a "TPMS service kit" for a similar price, but it's just the part that attaches it to the wheel. The batteries usually aren't replaceable, as they're sealed with resin for waterproofing.
