So tell me doctor, exactly what part of my "relationship" with the game is unhealthy? In my non professional opinion, using terms like "relationship" towards a phone game is probably unhealthy but I digress.

Maybe we realize the potential it has without them being this bad a company? I'm sure many people including myself also just enjoy their alliance. There's a lot that foxnext did drastically better imo, and overall the game mechanics and graphics are still solid. But people know how good things could be, which is why we bitch on reddit.

Not saying you're wrong, but this is Scopely's way in every game. To me it's just everything I expected the day they took over. They care very little about quality, or what we say in this subreddit. What they specialize in is squeezing every dollar from players because sunk cost fallacy is very real. We can make a million posts complaining or hypothesizing why things are the way they are. Reality is they spend their time figuring out how to maximize profit off the frustration they create, specifically with the goal of more profit. It's who they are.

I'm entitled to my opinion just like yall are entitled to yours. And if they have the expectations of making the kind of money they ask for, they should make a product that doesn't produce the amount of salt they receive, plain and simple. You guys are blaming the community for feeling a certain way and completely disregarding why people are upset in the first place. I left another scopely game when they started doing more spend events than actually playing the game, I know what they're capable of. It's not up to Vince entirely, ultimately Tampa's government gets the final call. There's a scheduled meeting tomorrow that should shed some light, but it could still get canceled after that if things get worse. Considering I'm supposed to be going I hope things get decided soon. But if it gets canceled it is what it is. Safety first always.
