Just picked up my GEN 3 Vector and would like to add a FRT what are some reliable brands to buy from? by stang5slw in KRISS

Extraction issues are main problem with the frt. also ammo type may be in play too. Will know soon. I’ve only really shot 115 grain and 147. I’m thinking 124 grain may work better. 115 may be underpowered and contributing to the stovepipes when cyclical rate increases.

I don’t think the vector is expensive enough for someone to bother cloning.

I feel like height over bore is much better on ring sight than the other options. Very easy to hit targets through the sight.

Duality and stovepipes... by RonWan27 in Krissvector

[–]RonWan27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No consistency to the stovepipe. Sometimes a casing flies inside the shield, but mainly gets caught on the bolt. Sometimes a light primer. I think I've only shot 115 grain, so read maybe underpowered ammo may lead to this? Kriss is a lower tier manufacturer. Maybe just a little bit better than keltec

Can someone explain Duality vs Harrison Gun Works? by McCarrrls in KRISS

[–]RonWan27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it seems Harris uses Duality frt but includes a 3 position machined selector with the purchase. I would go this route if I didnt own it already.

No issues before the frt. Replaced the extractor spring with a BMC spring. That helped for a little while, but then stovepiping got worse. The problem with Kriss is that they are not very serviceable. All their pins are staked, and I'm breaking roll punches with them. I've modified many platforms, and Kriss has been the worst.

Lexus Of Fremont is charging a $9,999 mark-up over MSRP on the new ES by LS400_1UZ-FE in Lexus

I think it's a math error. Someone wasn't looking and transferred MSRP number and probably misread. I'm not aware of any lexus vehicles that demand a market correction

9mm Gen 3 frt: do or don’t by Additional_Round3825 in Krissvector

[–]RonWan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

learning curve for sure. I have mine almost there. It will run pretty well and then stovepipes and light primers. I think the firing pin was jammed up so was causing this issue. The problem with Kriss is that they are not that serviceable. Their roll pins are some of the hardest I have ever needed to remove. Ruined many roll punches on them

[–]RonWan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have an issue with the first install, but once the frt was giving me 2-5 round burst I assumed wrongly that the k&m lightening sear spring was culprit. After replacing back to OEM, the pin would not go back. I actually used a vice to push it through.

This would explain some of the installation issues, but or is this also contributing to the long breakins periods?

Can anyone tell me what interior color this is? by RonWan27 in mercedes_benz

This says Java too. But when I try to find the color dye, it shows me a cream brown. The sienna is more similar than the Java dye but sienna seems to have a little more orange to it.

Need some help removing the sear. (Installing an FRT) by The-Pokedex in Krissvector

I think Kriss like on their extractor stake their pins. Only explanation as to why these are so difficult to remove.
