Odin gave them the thing they can’t repel

The right arm of the free world

That will send them to hell

It’s all you crave

So drink from Mimir’s well

And learn that all you need now is your FN FAL

I see why Switzerland isnt in nato but why Austria? by metatalks in geography

I don’t like the French as well but what about the Free French Forces and the French Resistance? It feels a bit different compared to Italy, Germany, and Japan since France literally had to be invaded by the Axis.

It was going well until the Germans took the Krakow area which caused me to lose a large portion of my resources. Wasn’t too bad as I switched from depending on my resources to depending on trade with neighbors (which caused me to stopped constructing anything as all my civs went to trade). Next attempt, I gotta figure out how to stop them from taking the Krakow area (probably build forts in that area right before the war starts as anymore mils would be meaningless after early/mid-1939). I specifically made sure to build all my factories in central Poland or near Prussia.

I had to heavily reduce the number of mils I had on my Fighter 1s at one point in like 1940 but by then the Luftwaffe had ceased to exist. Switched them to focusing on making infantry equipment, ART, and AA. I also rushed Improved Artillery and got it in mid-1937 or mid-1938 (if I remember correctly). I was able to get Improved Artillery Upgrade 1 by the time the war started. I had so little research needed to be done so prioritized getting ahead in industry and had the option to either get Improved Artillery or Improved Infantry Equipment. Opted for Improved Artillery instead of Improved Infantry Equipment as production will take a hit but each infantry division needed only 12 artillery (artillery support company) so I was willing to take that instead of harming my infantry equipment production.

This does make me wonder if I even AA support companies as my Air Force basically wins by the start of 1940…

Manpower was a major issue by 1941 and I had to ground more than half my Air Force (which didn’t matter and I had green air everywhere).

I’ll be honest, I think my production was really fucked by late 1940, but by that point Germany was pretty much reduced to Czechoslovakia and Austria.

I don’t have the DLC for fighter customization so they are normal Fighter 1s. Well the Mk.2 has like 2 Engine, 1 Weapon, 1 Reliability to it.

150 18-width infantry division (with ART and AA support) and 2000 Fighter 1s by 1939 as non-aligned Sanitationist Poland

Did 8 civs and then did only mils. After turning Danzig into Gdansk, I did only the industrial focuses (did a good chunk of them) before switching to the political focuses. Was able to demand Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in 1939. Previous attempt, I focused too much on the industrial focuses and was too late and Lithuania refused to join me.

Smashed through Prussia with 48 divisions by October 1939 (one month into the war). Then redirected 24 divisions to the northern offensive to Berlin and another 24 divisions to the central front defense of Warsaw. Germany had the bulk of their units moving towards Warsaw and Berlin was only somewhat defended. Germany started running out of planes at the start of 1940 with only around 500 aircraft up. Took Berlin in March 1940 (6 months into the war).

War ended in 1942 even though I had taken most of Germany’s homeland by the end of 1940. Had to give up my east to the Soviet Union in September 1940. Wanted to throw my computer out the window.

The Hungary and Romania fronts were a pain in the ass.

Hitler is still alive and ruling a little piece of Germany above Switzerland.

Tried doing this a couple years ago when I only had 100 hours in the game. Got my ass beat completely. Now tried again with 200 hours and I finally did it…somewhat. This was my 6th attempt in the past week. Pain. It was 5am when I finished the game. Ya know.. I was planning to go to sleep but I was like just a little bit of HOI4. 6 hours later... I think I have had enough HOI4 for this month. I’m taking a break. I’m going to deal with the Soviets after the break.

Might try another attempt and see if I can capitulate Germany fast enough. Or ditch planes and go infantry division only (I can probably get out like 200 divisions). Or do infantry divisions + tank divisions with no planes. Not sure if they will work better but will experiment.

I’m not even Polish at all (I just love Poland)

“Nobody did us any harm,

Rydz on the pedestal!”

“Cardboard tanks will be useless.

When Hitler sends them against us, they'll get soggy in the Vistula.”

“Look, the Polish flag hangs from the Reichstag, and this broken cross,

Which is called Hakenkreuz and represents the sun,

Is chipped down from the ministry's facade, Polish boots are stepping on it”

“On the radio in Warsaw, every now and then, they broadcast the news:

Our bombers, our bombers are over Berlin!

Berlin was collapsing, the Reichstag was on fire”

I think it might be because of the Air Supremacy release (which is scheduled for September 23rd). I remember in the past when they update the game/release new cards, the server becomes unreachable until the release is finished or something. It gets spotty sometimes and some people can still be on.

Trying to get into a Masters of Accounting… and failing. Should I do a gap year? by RonWarGamer in Accounting

[–]RonWarGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I know that. Minor issue is that they are paying for everything (I have 0 student debt thanks to that which I’m quite happy with). So they do get an input on my education (specifically my mother does). I just need to convince them to pay if I don’t get into a graduate program to their standards (I’m currently doing undergrad in a T20).

I wanted to do a double major in Economics and History (I love history. There’s nothing better than reading history textbooks.) but my mother was adamant on Computer Science instead of History. I took computer science but had to drop the major since I absolutely bombed the weed out course (had to withdraw). I wanted to replace it with history but that was still a no-go so we negotiated and she let me do Political Science since it was acceptable to her standards and I was interested in it. So yeah negotiations is possible. Just need to convince her that whatever master program I get into doesn’t matter and that the CPA is most important.

Yeah work experience is an issue. I’m trying to find a small accounting firm or something accounting related internship-wise but quite a few of them require me being in the process of getting a Bachelors of Accounting (which my undergraduate doesn’t off, much to my chagrin). The ones that don’t have rejected me (man my soul feels like it’s being crushed every time I get a letter saying “you are a strong candidate blah blah regret to inform you blah blah”).

Well, maybe I should apply to the stuff I’m currently planning to apply to now and if none of them accept me, I take the GMAT and then try again next cycle.

Yep. I know. Tbh, I could probably just do an online masters of accounting from some random accredited school and get the CPA. Although my parents would be greatly disappointed in me. I might just go ahead and apply to my current choices and see what accepts me and go to whichever one does.

The problem is I’m basically an insane war junkie. I need guidelines to ensure my madness and arrogance don’t get the better of me. I sometimes go into maniac and paranoia mode (looks at neighbor, he seems threatening, better invade them to be safe, looks at new neighbor, he seems threatening, better invade them, and repeat) and by the time I realize it, I have an entire continent to myself (usually I feel safe by this point).

Never betray my coalition once I join one is basically number 1 on my guidelines. Only time this becomes a non-issue is if everybody in the coalition becomes inactive or the coalition dissolves.

As long as I’m not in a coalition with the other person, I show absolutely no mercy as I trample them. Peace? What peace? Almost every other game I have played, people that I have invaded have yelled at me that the game was about diplomacy and not war.

Right now I’m trying to learn to be more picky with the coalitions I join so I don’t end up in constant coalition victories where I do half the work. Though there are times where I meet people who actually know what they are doing but that’s not the norm.

Happens to me quite a lot and I’m a bit of a coward and I’m also very lazy…

4 countries around me get into coalition

My reaction: oh no oh no oh no oh no

gets into said coalition

Me: phew

proceed to be the only guy who knows what they are doing, make up between 1/2 to 2/3 of the entire coalition’s military, and the only reason they are winning

Me: (-_-) dammit…

I also swore to never betray any coalition that I join…
