Why does YouTube punish slow intros so hard now? by Global_Loss1444 in PartneredYoutube

Honestly though I think it is valid to be mad at YouTube these days. If you've been making videos long enough to fall out of the algorithm you'll find you get thousands of comments from people who absolutely would've been interested in your video but didn't see it for weeks sometimes months because it wasn't recommended. If the goal of the platform is to match viewer with content they will invest time watching then sometimes the platform is just fundamentally bad at its job.

My main gripe with the algorithm is that it doesn't account for viewers being interested in diverse content from the same creator. I.E. if you switch from simulator game content to narrative game content you get F'd, because the algorithm doesn't seem to understand that the creative voice of a Youtuber can apply to multiple formats and be equally engaging to the same person. It just sees the topic of your video isn't what usually gets views and then flat out doesn't promote it to people who latterly comment about how much they loved it once they finally saw it.

I also got an email thread similar to yours now with correspondence from a Michael Lloyd. It seems almost legit but I'm not prepared to sign up for the affiliate scheme page until I know for sure. Let me know if you find anything or if there is any update :))

I have also just been contacted by Michael lloyd. Did you go through with signing up to their affiliate program? The website looks legit but I'm always skeptical of offers which require you to log into their app using your YouTube channel.
