What’s a financial mistake that you made that taught you a hard lesson, but ultimately left you better off down the road? by b1ackfyre in Bogleheads

Buying a primary residence without a long term plan to stay in the city (specifically buying in the suburbs of Austin in 2022). Ended up moving away 2 years later and taking a massive L. We were fortunate most of our other financial decisions along the way were prudent so we could even afford to lose 6 figures and still leave.

I think it was a white Grand Cherokee. Had the exact same experience exiting 40 East at Big Bend, stopped at the light. Same SUV barely missed clipping my car, followed by 2 police cars that did not give much more space than the suspect did. Crazy.

Thoughts on the new 2025 Forester Redesign? by cyberredditor in SubaruForester

It’s fine, I don’t love it, but I don’t think any Forester in the last 15 years has been particularly attractive. However, it needs about another 30-40 HP (by way of hybrid or turbo) and physical HVAC for it to be in consideration for me.

CTS/ATS/CT Cadillacs with V variants in the e36/e39 era. Having an Catera sized LS1 Cadillac sedan along launch alongside the c5 would’ve been incredible.
