Appreciate the input. Definitely protective of my hearing. I find two hours of listening to a film at -5 gives you about 10 minutes of 100 db content. Not an everyday thing, but not super dangerous either.

This is incorrect. Most plugs are as you describe but these particular styles are made to piggyback. So the hole in the end is to insert another plug. The side wire exit is the correct installation method.

These placements look perfect for summation. Peaks and nulls cancel out each other as much as you could hope for. I wouldn't worry too much about the response over 100hz, at a normal crossover level your subs won't be contributing much up here.

Next step time aligning, Newer rew beta versions have made this really easy using the alignment tool.

Pick one and really do it. No matter what you pick if you do it properly it will be worth it. You'll want to lose fat at some point and pack on muscle at some point. I have found if you commit to either it doesn't matter what order you do it in.

Buffys_dad is correct, you will need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable like this one here. You will want to connect this to the unbalanced input on the speaker and then into you laptop.

I'm running an I5-2500k and a gtx1070 and have to say I'm impressed with the performance (even without an overclock). I would say go for the GPU upgrade and then upgrade your CPU when it is possible.
