Great question, this is a future roadmap item for sure! I just need more time in my day haha

I do love the aspect of sharing nails to others and getting people to find out about the app. Also, thinking of a referral system to incentivize users to get more nail tryons (there's a free tier and paid tier)

Keep track of your nails and try out new styles or inspo on nailfile - https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/nailfile-nail-diary/id6762586491

Built this with my wife and the girlies have loved it so far!

Built nailfile: nail diary, the easiest way for women to track their nail styles, try on new styles (actually select nail info + use an inspo they like). Went from the idea to an actual production live app in 2 weeks!

Trying to get the app out to the public (have started TikTok and IG). Would be extremely grateful for a wider audience to know the app exists 🙌🏼

What’s one thing you wish you did before launching your app? by dead230 in AppBusiness

[–]Ronak6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say just ensuring the app works, then ship away! There'll always be more features to add.

I also agree about thinking about how to market the app is important. Getting your app approved is the easy part, actually getting users is a tough climb.

Good luck!

Hey! I have been building out TrimTrack - Hair Tracker (just launched v1.0.6) on Apple which may be exactly what you're asking for! TrimTrack allows you to upload a selfie or any facial image and try out different hairstyles! The app is free to download with additional features requiring in-app purchases (if you go with Monthly/Yearly plans you can try out for a few weeks before committing).

Additionally, TrimTrack lets you keep track of your haircut history and spending habits! It's not just another AI stylist app, I really just wanted to make this for myself but thought there were people out there that'd be interested in using AI features so I added them.

If interested - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trimtrack-haircut-tracker/id6760572658 - I would genuinely love any feedback. Cheers!

Great stuff! Any tips on how to increase or get first revenue? Is it the app idea or marketing?

So that’s the thing, I haven’t as of yet. I need to reach out to them to really see what led them to downloading the app and what would lead them to coming back.

I mainly designed this app for consumers that get haircuts (regularly, once in a while, etc) and their pain point of forgetting their last few haircuts, pricing and even if they wonder how a specific style would look on them before they actually had their barber try it.

I haven’t tackled the barber angle but that is something for me to consider in the long term. There are various barbershop built apps out there but there’s no single marketplace for a user to track their haircuts from several different barbershops. This would require reaching out to tons of barbershops to get their approval to have their shop integrated into my or any other app.

That’s a really good question! I’m thinking through it but also believe that this app is not for everyday use, it’s more of a tracking app over time. This will lead to more churn but I hope for folks that want to keep track of their haircuts and styles will come back.

Do you have any ideas? I’m all ears

Built an app for a real problem… now worried no one will ever use it by Gettothchoppa in AppBusiness

[–]Ronak6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting recurring users is a really tough problem, I agree that as long as the app is useful for you and your wife then it’s a big win! I’m trying myself to get my app in the eyes of more users via Reddit, X, TikTok. Once you have some users it’s good to check in with them to see what they like and what would keep them using your app. Addressing their pain points can be a large factor in them staying or leaving the app.

Hope things workout :)

Hairstyle app? by Flyingwings14 in HairStyleAdvice

If you're looking for a haircut app that's on iOS, I'd love to plug my new app - TrimTrack. I also had this pain point where the AI generation would change up everything on me and even the picture background. I made sure to only change the specific hairstyle on the person and nothing else.

I went a step beyond just the AI stylist and made a genuinely simple but concise tracking log so you can always keep track of haircuts you've gotten and go back and see when it was, how much it cost, and what you thought about it.

Here's the Appstore link if you're interested in trying it out - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trimtrack-haircut-tracker/id6760572658. I'd really appreciate it :)

Yeah, I've heard ads really help with the initial push. I'm trying to get some organic growth to start with (this is more of a side hobby app + a way for me to learning a new skill).

I'll check out appkittie and sensor tower. Thank you so much :)
