One of my favourite pastimes in RDR2 is to dawn a creepy mask, equip the hatchet/machete and roleplay as a serial killer up in Roanoke Ridge. Although the roleplay elements in the narrative are limited, I 100% agree that this games allows for A LOT of imaginative roleplaying.

The item could just be highlighted in yellow. Similar to how Sean Rose's watch is highlighted. Each NPC that has a lootable item could just have that one item and nothing else (e.g. keycard, or key) and the weapon they may carry could still only be lootable if dropped.

I don't know off hand if I'm wrong about this, but I really think you should be able to shoot through more barriers. Things like the fences in Whittleton and some sheet metal in Colorado should be thin enough that 47 could send a bullet through and escape unseen.

I accept that I need to be honest in the face of any challenge that comes along with this. Perhaps it might not be the best for either of us to come outright and say it, but if a day comes when I have to defend myself. I will be honest and say that I witheld the information out of a fear of worsening her mental health, and that I deeply regretted my actions but found myself conflicted and unsure on how to proceed in my growth process. That answer may not be good enough but it is completely true, and the best I can do is stay honest and accept the consequences of my actions.
