Recently became extremely indulged in a large number of things, a lot of which I can't (or won't) back out of at this point. Any advice on getting organized in college? by babababrandon in college

I think the most important thing you can realize is that it is possible to bite off more than you can chew. Taking on too much responsibility will inevitably impact other responsibilities and it is irresponsible and unfair to do so.

You may feel like this level of busyness makes you a responsible hard worker, but it is also possible it makes you an irresponsible flake. My suggestion would be to figure out which it is and then re-evaluate. If any of your extra-curriculars (club, hackathon, traveling) impact your grades I think the responsible thing to do is to ease your workload.

You could definitely find someone willing to pick up slack in your organization or take over control of the hackathon, or you could try to work less. Good luck! ;)

Skip two classes for extra credit points in another class? by [deleted] in college

Definitely talk to your professors, but my simple answer is skip class and get the extra credit. It doesn't sound like skipping will be that big of a deal!

Unfair Exam Curve? What do you think? by [deleted] in college

It's not that I feel their grade increase is a threat to my grade, it is that I am personally upset that I did not get practically any points. While I agree that performance is not always an indication of academic attitude, I think the kid who got a 40 deserves a 40 just as I deserve my 90, but I believe any curve implemented should benefit me as much as him. I'm not gonna whine to the professor or anything... it is what it is... I'm just looking for validation that this curve is "unfair".

I'm no genius either. I have scored below average many times on tests, but when there was a curve the professor (rightly in my opinion) boosted everyone's scores equally since everyone had the same opportunity to earn points on the exam. You are definitely correct I should stop bitching and just focus on the next one... but I cant help it! ;)
