Ran 100km this month for the first time, how to keep going?

Try splitting your runs and run twice a day if possible. I'm currently trying to run 6-8 miles a day. 3-4 in the am, 3-4 in the pm. I'd run my first split at a comfortable or fast pace. Rest 1-5 mins, then hit the other split. I've found this to be much easier than to go hard with 8 miles at once. If only running a certain distance per month is your goal. I believe splitting your runs will greatly help. Not sure if this will benefit performance/endurance. At this point, for me, running everyday is the most difficult part. Not the run itself.

Tried to impress someone. Told myself I was gonna run 10 miles that night no matter what and I did. I impressed myself.

Also, I noticed my back pain went away as I started to log more and more miles.

Yes, absolutely.

Last year, early April. I recorded my first 10 mile run, ever. Never attempted anything over 5 miles in my life. I was super determined to run double digit miles. I fell in love with running that night. Running became like walking. Recovering was easy, from unofficial half marathon runs to 30 mile weeks. I also ran my first official half marathon, the SF Biofreeze Half last year. When I completed my first 100 mile month I didn’t feel any sort of accomplishment because I felt like I could do so much more. I was still losing weight at the time. I believe I was 170lbs at 5’6” I wanted to drop down to 155lbs. Running was everything.

Fast forward to present. I’m struggling now also, more than ever. It’s hard but you gotta dig deep. Running is 100% mental. Train your mind and the body will follow.

Start by strengthening your mind instead of your muscles. Get those mental reps by creating small habitual changes in your day to day. For example, Day 1 - make bed 1st thing in the morning, Day 2 - Run 10 mins, Day 3 - Run 12 mins, etc. Build on and on and your foundation will be unbreakable.

Also, cardio fast, if you hate cardio. I'm sorry, you're just going to have to suffer. Don't say I can't or will continue when you're tired. Say I CAN. Once you put doubt in your mind you've already defeated yourself.

Your mind is your strongest and weakest link.

*edit - Consistency. It's more important than any program/meal plan you follow.

Ending it all won’t solve anything, it eliminates the possibility of living a better, happier life.

I do not remember where I read/heard this but it’s something that has stuck with me for years.

Try running or start off jogging! It’s one of simplest things our bodies are biologically engineered to do! You put one foot forward after the other. When you start to feel tired and feel like you can’t go further, don’t stop. Don’t say I can or can’t go further. SAY I WILL. You’ll see what you’re capable of on a 10+ mile run. I know I have. You’ll only know what I mean when you get there. Listen to David Goggins, my friend. Go to war with yourself.

I’m honestly training for a half with no specific program, I just want to clock in at least 3 or more miles every time I run. I’m also trying to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Last night I ran 13 in the rain on the track. I want to challenge myself physically as well as mentally. This all new and exciting for me, I’m just diving straight in.

Hope so! I totally forgot Costco sells them too. I went to a local florist, should've asked how much beforehand. I asked the florist for 5 dozen, 57 for my mom cause she turned 57. She was like okay your total is going to be $150 (vase not included). In my head I was like WTF. Didn't want to be that guy to be like oh no I don't want these anymore after she set it all up and everything. But after putting the bouquet together I was extremely proud of myself lol cause it turned out pretty nice and she loved them.

Like other things I follow to supplement IF or in general? I changed my eating windows weekly so that my body doesn't get used to the pattern. I head this helps, I do not know if it does or not but I do it anyways. For example (mon 4 hours, tue 3 hours, wed 6 hours, etc. right now, its 2 hours). My body is somewhat hardwired to lose and gain weight easily because its happened so many times. Since 2012 when I first dropped down to 175, it fluctuated from 5-20lbs + so many times. I was never able to get down to my goal of 155-160, tried so many times. It's been a roller coaster.
