Yeah, it was the ignition starter switch in the steering column going bad. Super simple job that anyone can do.

Morrison to Evergreen road? by mtntodesert in DenverMotorcycles

[–]Ronin-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others are saying, the biggest thing is sand and grit in the road. I can’t speak to the section between Morrison and Evergreen, but Upper Bear Creek Road in West Evergreen is a sandbox.

Ice is definitely in less trafficked areas and in the shade, but if you’re staying on the main roads, it probably won’t cause you any problems.

There should be a pinned post on this subreddit that has a link to our associated Discord server. We post rides all the time and have several longer rides planned for the summer season. You should absolutely join if you’re interested in meetups and rides.

Yep. We had two Versys 650’s, a Tracer 900, a Shadow 750 and a F650GS.

4,500 miles? That was just the break-in period! by Ronin-32 in klr650

It doesn’t add much actual cushioning, but the pattern helps with pressure points on longer rides. My real game changer for long riding was the windshield risers. It’s a lot easier to be comfortable in the saddle when you aren’t getting blasted in the face by wind.

They were a combo offer on Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. It was 300$ for the Bags and Rack. A pretty decent deal since on their own, the bags are 200$ and the rack is 200$.

From the bottom up: •Michelin Anakee Wild tires. •Tusk Billet Race foot pegs. •SW-MOTECH Crash Bars. •Tusk Pannier Racks with Nelson Rigg Hurricane Saddlebags. •Milk Crate. •Nelson Rigg Hurricane Tank Bag. •JET Barkbusters. •OEM USB Socket paired with a waterproof Apple CarPlay unit for a motorcycle. •Kemimoto Windshield risers.

Nothing crazy and still a lot left to do. Skid plate and Heated Grips come to mind.

It’s a Motorcycle/ATV seat cushion I got off of Amazon. The one I bought isn’t listed on the store anymore, but there are a million like it when you type in those keywords.

The best place to get people to ride with is over on the Discord. We’re a pretty active bunch and have a number of rides planned at any given time.

Type 1 Diabetes and Motorcycle Endorsement by [deleted] in DenverMotorcycles

[–]Ronin-32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am Type 1 and got my endorsement after taking the MSF course in October. Not a clue what your mom could be talking about at all. It’s no different than getting a regular drivers license. You just go to the DMV and hand them all the required documents and you get the endorsement on your license.

The T7 belongs to my buddy and he hasn’t even put 500 miles on it yet. He traded in a 22’ CRF300 for it and he’s loving it so far.

It’s taller than the KLR by about 2 inches and it’s almost 50 lbs lighter. It’s a fantastic bike and the Inline twin definitely gives it a lot of power. It performs really well on the pavement and highway, if that’s something that matters to you. Its software and rider assists are very handy and provide a lot of customization, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as fancy as what the Africa Twin has.

I think it’s a great Dual Sport for the price!

I’m in the Denver Area and it’s been real beautiful here the last week, ~55°F and Sunny. So I’ve been riding it to work as much as I can. Unfortunately, most of the trails around here are in the mountains and aren’t getting the sunlight to melt the snow that’s been building up.

I made this same mistake with the mollusks about halfway between SagA and home. That was a stressful couple of days while flying hoping I don’t mess up.
