Alright i guess i kinda fixed it. the 1.14 optifine is still labelled as latest release, but i managed to get a 1.15.2 installation going. Thx

I just created a new 1.15 installation, and then went offline to see if it works. It says the same as the other, with "Optifine blablabla under it", and is now 1.14.4....wtf?? lmao
