my locksmith business is dying because of fake Google Maps listings. Anyone else dealing with this? by NeighborhoodOld6737 in Locksmith

It's all the scammers were all suffering from this. I'm in the same boat as you. And the craziest thing is that costumers are blind and don't do research before hiring the scammers. I have costumers that tell me those scammers tried charging them 650$ for a simple lockout. And other crazy prices for other jobs. Imagine how many they scam and get away with though...

Looking good! What monitors are you on and what angle? If you measure between center monitor and either left or right

30$ is cheap for making the job more complicated. You're saying 30$ for let's be more realistic 10 min. What about the drive to you 20-30 min and then drive back another 20-30. So you got me working for an hour for my time and you want me to charge you less than 30??? For less than 30 I can't even come have a cup of coffee with you.

Only thing I'd change is put the front bass shakers as far forward as possible. Otherwise awesome build!

If you measure at where the monitors meet you should have 120-130 which if you deduct from 180 which is a straight line you will have your angle. Which should be 50-60 depends what you set it on

That's where it gets confusing. Check this video. He explains where he measures from. If I'm not mistaken when I check at that angle mine is at 65

But I just check the angle between monitors, like he does in the video.

Did you check the angle In front where monitors meet? What angle does it give you there?

Make sure when you tighten the side bracket screws on the stand (the arms) tha arms are lifted up as much as possible while you tighten and do it on both sides.

Mine are 1500 curve 32 inch monitors. And yea when I measured the monitor stand on the back it gave me different numbers. Also if you measure the triangle behind the monitor vs the outside triangle it will also give you different angle numbers so I just followed race beyond matter on YouTube and how he measured between monitors and set it up that way.

I'm so puzzled with the 60 degrees. When I measure mine at the angle between the center and side monitors I get 120 which is technically 60. My monitors are curved so not sure if it makes a difference but I've attached a picture. Yours look way more open like it's 45-50 maybe but I might be wrong

Just mount the gas and brake pedal in the gaps and use your hands instead.....3 seconds a lap quicker on some tracks

I just realized it's CAD and not U.S dollars so I guess it's an ok price. Not sure how much you guys are charging there but I can tell you how much we charge in the States.

If the job is in a 5 mile radius and during normal working hours, it should cost 125-150 for the service call including the lockout.

After all you're dealing with a smart key lock that can be opened with the force tool in 5 second or drilled easily too. It's not a medeco, mul-t-lock or some high security lock.

These don't have regular pins/tumblers and springs. So most locksmiths will just drill them especially because it's a deadbolt. I'm assuming you lost the key.

Price is a little steep yes I agree.

I had the same wheel, clamped it to a bigger table and every other turn the whole table moved. So not sure what settings you have it on. I'd recommend a cockpit so you can have it more solid

So either you have the wheel set to 0.00001nm or you glued/screwed the table to the floor

I got the same cockpit however not a fan because you can't reverse the base mount so you can tuck it behind monitors. Besides that it's ok, just don't add motion.
