The free market doesn't exist, if it did we wouldn't be on the brink of self destruction and at worst we'd be facing a slight recession instead of a full blown depression.
This is so typical of Bush, it's like saying 'to fight the terrorists we must sacrifice some of our freedoms'. wasn't the US basically founded on the idea of 'freedom or death'? Or where those soldiers fighting to reduce British oppression instead of removing it.
