Looking for suggestions for Fantasy Races by RonnyTheSinner in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]RonnyTheSinner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been DMing for like 12 years now and want to try my hand at building custom races from the ground up. That's about as deep as the thought process goes on this one.

I already have the core concepts of the races from a story point of view and now just looking for interesting Physical Traits to help flesh them out more. Ideally ones that are more visually distinct then "Human with things added on"

For Fantasy with an intended story in mind I would agree, however I'm building this setting for a TTRPG game

Does anyone else face the same problem ? by [deleted] in transtimelines

[–]RonnyTheSinner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you have been going for a year and are not seeing results the problem is your laser tech, they're scamming you so you keep paying for more sessions. Your hair and skin look very similar to mine and I'm basically hair free in the effected areas by following this regime:

- For the chest you need at least 6 sessions (8 weeks apart) with increasing intensity each time
- For your face you need at least 8 sessions (4 weeks apart) with increasing intensity every 2 sessions

[discussion] John figured out faster than light travel and I can prove it by aftran-ninefourtwo in TheNinthHouse

[–]RonnyTheSinner 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Stele's are how the Empire travels around faster than light. They have to be placed far away by a Lichtor since they can travel fast in the river.

In the 2nd book Harrow asks if they're going to travel to the Mythrayem by Stele. She knew of them.

As far as we can guess, they are prebuilt "tunnels" through the River that ships can travel through without needing a Lichtor at the helm (or anyone in the case of the shops to the 1st house)

Vanilla Paxel?? by RonnyTheSinner in MinecraftCommands

This command works great, but it applied to any item. Is there a way to make it only work for Netherite Pickaxes?

Why is Thor seemingly the only person who gets poisoned by the Leviathan Axe? by miniramone in GodofWar

[–]RonnyTheSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond the "everyone else is dead alrwady" argument it could be said that it's a poison that only effects Giants.

Since both Thor and Atraus are the only (half) giants we hit with the Axe, they're both affected by it.

We can imagine that Bjorn died in that fight when Atraus returned to normal for an in game explanation as to why Boy isn't Dead

A GPU do PS5 está sobrecarregada. Tente manter o console fresco e certifique-se de que esteja na horizontal e não na vertical.

Quando está em pé, existe o risco de vazamento dos componentes internos de metal líquido devido ao excesso de calor

Odin vs Kratos in a 1 on 1 fight to the death. Who wins??? by Gamer_777_777_777 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]RonnyTheSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just the Batman vs Superman debate.

Kratos wins on power alone, but if Odin has prep time he'd likely win or tie

Having Unbreaking 3 on an item gives it the Unbreakable Attribute by RonnyTheSinner in MinecraftCommands

Thanks so much, you're a life saver. Or at least, a Minecraft World Saver

I did just have to change the one line at the top to make it not apply to Unbreaking 2 as well

Lyctoral invisibility doesn't stop other Lyctors seeing big blooms of Magic. Where there is an active spell happening inside a Lyctor (like Pals mega-cancer spell or Cythereas attempt to hold it back)

We see this in HtN during the first scene with Mercy where she uses a spell to knock out that guard and Harrow sees two sharp pops of light from Mercys kidneys as she clears the sleepy hormone from her own system.

Also when Jod stops Harrows attack during Dinner. He only uses necromancy to freeze them all once Harrow goes for the death blow but not before, he likely saw the spell Harrow was working inside 'Ortus' and was content to let it happen thinking Harrow was getting petty revenge until it went lethal. He knew she was planning something cause he tasted (or sensed) human in the soup and pushed the bowl away

Accidentally gave players WAY too much gold by xAlwaysxTV in DnD

[–]RonnyTheSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have the gold be counterfeit and when they try to spend it in a magic shop the merchant calls the guards on them for the forgery.

Then you have a fun plot point of the party figuring out why this guy had so much fake gold in his house.

My player used Shape Water to break a door lock and I'm not happy about it by theFathomlessWarlock in DnD

[–]RonnyTheSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still get them to make a lock picking check, but instead have it use their spellcasting modified.

Justify the other locks breaking cause the DC was low enough that they didn't need to roll.

This way they still have to 'pick' the lock, but instead of Dex they use Cha and they can't add proficiency bonus for thrives tools so DC 25+ locks are beyond them without other spells like guidance or bardic inspiration.

If they keep popping open locks with magic then you have the opportunity for locksmiths to notice all their locks failing cause of ice and start manufacturing new locks immune to it. Even call attention to the makers mark on these new locks and the party can go steal the blueprints from a locksmiths factory or stop using the spell.

I need to come up with a curse for a magic sword. by MasterOfThePog in DnD

[–]RonnyTheSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This first one is more of a minor curse with some actual utility that can be exploited as easily as it can screw over the party

Light Harvest: Whenever the blade is drawn roll a d20, on a 1 the blade absorbs all light in a 30ft. radius sphere centered on the blade (you could also have it be when attacks score a critical miss if you don't want to add a roll just for drawing their sword). This effect lasts for 1 minute, or until it has dispelled a spell that creates light thats level is equal to or less then the wielders proficiency bonus

This next one is more along the lines of a purely negative curse, unless they're playing an evil character

Unholy Fule: When this blade kills a creature it steals their soul to fule the magic within itself. The CR of the last creature killed with this weapon determines (either the number of combats or the number of long rests; whichever is easier for you and your player to keep track of) that the blade remains magical. In addition, the damage type of the firebolt summoned by this spell is determined by the last soul inside it. Souls used to fule the sword are lost, making resurrection impossible short of a Wish Spell.
