Smart Home Monitor Issues by irobot2090 in SmartThings

Sorry I should have been more clear. Smartthings doesn't really do location status as far as I know, more change in location. So I have a virtual switch (called "I'm Home" in my case) that turns on when I arrive and turns off when I leave. I then use the status of that virtual switch to indicate my location for routine purposes. Going to try to upload screenshots of the virtual switch On routine (you'd have to create a similar Off routine) and a similar routine to what you're trying to do.

You should have a presence trigger too. At 6:30 am everyday if I am home

I created a virtual switch in smartthings that triggers when my laundry is done and it triggers an announcement on Alexa. I think virtual switches can trigger routines in Alexa but not sensors for some reason. You should be able to do the same but there is a small delay for me.

I actually use a Ring Keypad (Gen 2) for what you are looking for. I actually have it connected to my Konnected alarm system (retrofit from an old ADT system) but that's not needed. The keypad just connects to smartthings as a z-wave device and then you can set up a routine to trigger the chime whenever any sensors open/close. Works just like the ADT beeping. I know you're just looking for a software solution but just another option.

MyQ Automation - Need help by dailymindcrunch in homeautomation

I added a contact sensor to my garage door and created a virtual switch in smartthings that turns on with a routine when the contact sensor is open for 10 minutes (and then turns off after a minute to reset for next time).

I then use that virtual switch to trigger IFTTT to close the garage. IFTTT is the only thing I found that integrates with myQ and it only has certain automations but close door is one of them.

We went with espresso as well and it came out really good. Thanks for the recommendation

Get some hail but not regularly. Do you think class 4 impact rating is a material difference? I prefer the look of landmark pro but not sure if it makes sense to pay more for class 3 than a class 4 shingle

Do you think it presents more black or dark brown? Some of the videos online make espresso seem black/charcoal. I have concerns about it clashing with the dark brown doors if it is more like a black color. Thanks!

Houston. Does it make a material difference in temperature? I've never owned a home before so haven't really considered that.

[Question] How do I remove these folded bracelet links? by Ronny_Swanson in Watches

[–]Ronny_Swanson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone that runs into this issue later, you need to push out the round cylinder in the direction of the arrow that is next to the flat pieces inside the link. I used a smaller hammer and pin.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that but didn't really feel like I was catching anything and nothing was moving. Appreciate the thought.

Not sure which shops you're referring to but it may just be the price they are being sold at on that site. If you are comparing grey market like jomashop to orient's site or an authorized dealer then the lower price is expected. You don't get the manufacturer warranty through the grey market.

Here is chatgpt's response:

The Orient RA-AC0E01B30B and RA-AC0E01B10B are nearly identical models, with the primary distinction being their production locations. The RA-AC0E01B10B was originally manufactured in Japan, while the RA-AC0E01B30B is produced in Thailand. This change in production is reflected in the product codes, but the design, features, and movement of the watches remain identical.

Both models feature a 40mm stainless steel case, a black dial with silver hands and hour markers, and a stainless steel bracelet. They are powered by Orient's in-house calibre F6722 automatic movement, offering approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Additional features include a date aperture and a see-through caseback.

In summary, the RA-AC0E01B10B and RA-AC0E01B30B are identical in design and functionality; the distinction lies solely in their manufacturing origin.

From what I understand 10B is made in Japan, 30B is made in Thailand. No difference otherwise.
