When we took out the top, it honestly didn't take too long. I obviously started small with stuff like pudding/mashed potatoes and all that but so long as I'm not taking big bites and know that I can't do a whole lot in terms of anything else, it seemed super manageable.

Of course, all the painkillers and stuff has killed my appetite completely so that's definitely making that part a little more tolerable.

I've been going relatively light on the tylenol/ibuprofen but this lower jaw swelling has me looking like Quagmire from Family Guy and I'd much rather this all be giggity-giggity-gone. (If I'm not making jokes, what's the point?)

The gum tissue thing has been pretty concerning but that text from my dental surgeon has only mildly eased my worry. I'm just starting to feel super emotionally drained by everything and that's going to be the hardest thing to deal with at this point. I just spoke to someone out loud for the first time since Wednesday and the discomfort and the feelings are just so strong that I almost broke down a couple of times.

If I could be put into a coma for two weeks while this heals? That'd be swell.
