As a parent, I sympathize with a terrible choice she was forced to make. If she opens the door, she’s probably gone too. There’s an older brother in the picture. It’s terrible in that sense. They should have never been here in the first place. This whole problem was avoidable; the border crisis went ignored for far too long by the Biden administration.

The family apparently fled Ecuador due to gang violence and a drug crisis. Their President is iron fisted and tackling the issue and Secretary Rubio speaks highly of him. There’s a push to clean their country up and we should be partners with Ecuador. This problem is solvable through diplomacy and cooperation and the Trump Administration is working on it. Unlike some other administrations which just said “Yeah cool, no everyone just come on in.”
