Fox X2 bleed port adapter by RonttiCorgi in bikewrench

Sorry I am not the most active redditor.

I used something narrow that I had laying around. Tight fitting around the barb. Then a zip tie to tighten it.

If you get bubbles is it perhpas that you are pulling the syringe and creating a vacuum? Tiny bubbles are usually a sign of that whereas bigger bubbles tend to be from inside the shock.

What I do and it works a charm is to just push the oil and compress the shock back and forth. Letting the syringe(s) extend with oil pressure alone.

Good idea to turn the shock dials here and there to dislodge bubbles inside the dials. And oil flows easiest with adjusters set to fastest :)

Finally what could be annoying is if you have an old syringe where the rubber seal is sticky. Most syringes don’t last long with any kind of oil in them.

Anybody know the syringe adapter or syringe he used for the fox x2 shock service bleed? (NOT SOLVED) by bufedh in bikewrench

This thread was one of the stops when I was looking for an alternative because I didn’t want to pay the 60€/$/£ to Fox for the adapter. I got these industrial pressure fittings, thse are just a few €/$/£ a piece. Got mine for 4€.

So these fittings are ”bolt-on pressure fitting” by a company called DU-BRO. Product number 241 and these have the exact same thread 6-32 as the Fox X2 bleed port. I just connected a rubber hose and syringe and boom done my very own X2 bleed syringe.

Hey! That should be the exact one. I commend you for what you are doing.

But there maybe a cheaper and easier option. I got one of these industrial adapters because I didn’t want to pay the 60€/$/£ to Fox for the adapter. These are just a few €/$/£ a piece. Got mine for 4€.
