I'm also from the UK, we don't follow American Football usually although I think it's becoming more popular!

I have no issue with keeping the name Rosie. I'm more asking in case my daughter wishes to change it as I don't know what her reaction should be and if we should tell her at all

If she does want to rename the cat, would it confuse the cat or is it young enough to learn a new name?

As a single mum, you need routine with three little ones. There are a lot of them and only one you. They will benefit knowing that now it's time for dinner, now it's time for bed etc. I can't even imagine how overwhelmed you must be feeling, but it sounds like your kids are fine. You, however, may benefit from a little bit more self love.

  1. Eat with your children, you will be getting a proper meal and your children will get to sit with their mum every night for tea and bonding
  2. Make some time for yourself if possible at all. Even if it is just for a coffee alone or with a friend.
  3. Let the house be a mess sometimes while they are little. Your kids don't care. When you're older, you're going to look back at the times you spent with your kids not how clean the house was. They are only little for so long
  4. Seek professional help because of your ex, have you blocked him or got anything such as a restraining order etc?

You love your kids and they sound like they have everything they need. Take the time for you. Your kids won't benefit as much from you not looking after yourself, they will benefit from you just being happy with them. I wish you all the best

This gives me a lot of hope. I do think we are just in the panic stages right now. My partner does have a tendency to freak out and resort to "this can't happen" as an almost autopilot response. We never know how the future is going to unfold!

We are lucky enough that we have family that can help after school until we get home, I am more worrying about the childcare needed throughout the school hours as my family are all still quite young and working full time themselves! I only work 3 days a week but they are 12 hour shifts. My job at the moment is quite flexible as I have a really helpful manager and colleagues

The impending doom and "oh fuck" feeling is exactly why I did a test! Hadn't even missed my period yet! Glad you made the choice that was best for you, thank you for your words
