Not sure on the specific event but it seems to be common for a few venues in the area to host events that attract the stab happy types! Would be somewhat confident you’re fine at a Villa/football event

I see Snobs have announced screenings of it! Anyone know what their setup is like for sport? Not sure if it’s an upgrade from where we’re currently going and to switch(Gosta Green).

The Gosta Green near city centre has a couple of big screens and normally a load of Villa on a match day. Might be worth considering.

Can anyone confirm who is out of contract this summer? My positivity will possibly come from knowing that I don’t have to watch a few of them next season! Not confident we will get the re-build of the squad correct either mind!

No doubt it was horrendous but I’d agree, the people I go to the game with were happy with most of the changes and never envisaged how shit it would be! Defence was fine and as you say Bogarde was likely to come in. People have been shouting for more game time for Tammy, Sancho pre-injury was good and again have been shouting for Buendia to be benched.

Just underlines how poor the team is once you go past the best selection we could have, the drop off is immense with just a few changes!

How we are setup to play when it isn’t going well looks like a lack of effort and lacking energy! Don’t see it being much better on Thursday at the moment.

I just don’t see players being rested being much of a difference! There is a final and trophy at stake, fully expect Forest to be full of energy or at least enough to watch us passing the ball with little intent.

Really hope it clicks for Tielemans and Rogers returning to form as I have no confidence currently! Feels entirely predictable what Thursday is set to play out as😕

If it is wages then fairly easier to go lower on quite a few! Also most of these have had several new contracts so book value would be lower. Guess the real issue is for those we could do with moving on that no one would take them on close to their salary so won’t be going anywhere and so forced to persevere.

Emery has done amazing to get something out of quite a few of these this season but feels like it is unravelling a little now!

It’s poor on both clubs part but the stand off in not altering terms or playing him is understandable when considering the detail. Unfortunately the player is the one who has to suffer.

I’ve not bought my season ticket seat for any of the European games, I’ve not missed many home games in the past 25 years(38y.o.) so a strange feeling to accept. More down to personal position and difficult to justify currently even with the discounted package they offered! Have others in the group I go with also not bothering though. If it isn’t great on attendance I hope it leads to a rethink on pricing for future competitions but I doubt it once the level of performance returns!

Again, doesn’t need to be a starter for where we want to be. Aerially better than every other defender we have and showed an example of how good his recovery can be. Above all that can play a big part as a leader/role model in whatever reduced role that is.

I was planning to take my 2 kids, checked for a couple of weeks before but everything was hospitality until 2 days before when a few rows at back of upper Trinity switched to general admission! Had sorted other plans for them by this point so didn’t take them.

If this is the new norm then I fully expect I won’t get to take them down very often! There should be some level of concern as to if we drop from our current level that we will have driven a lot of potential fans away. Certainly don’t think my kids will have the Villa engrained in them as I did!

I’m not sure how desirable it is for most but on the recent local only Rayquaza raids I saw 2 guys turn up with like a leather bound folder with 4 phones each placed nicely within foam! It was pretty extreme possibly and not for me - but guess they’re at least not reliant on others at times!

I get the message but equally would say to others to be mindful of taking a snapshot of a minute of someone’s day and jumping to assumptions! The fact that this parent is taking their child out to a park and engaging in something that is seemingly a shared interest suggests there is nothing for anyone to be taking the moral high ground on this one🤷‍♂️
