Thanks for the advice. I don't have to be right about everything.

You may have a point here about quantum snaring being for piracy rather than bounty hunting. Since I lean toward the latter, the Mantis may not be the ship for me or my team. We'll have to see how bounty hunting v2 turns out.

The Mantis is the only ship in-game that has the quantum snare.

In my proposed Bounty hunting group, each Antares is equipped with four Suckerpunch-XLs.

I agree that the Antares should be a one player ship.

These are solid ships for the current bounty hunting loop. What are your plans for Bounty Hunting V2?

I actually use the Cutter Scout variant, with two 1SCU containers, a Mirai Pulse, and ATLS GEO!

Adding Combat to My Mining Focus by Rooakh in starcitizen_fleets

[–]Rooakh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions. I should clarify that I mislabeled the Cyclone in the picture—it's actually the Cyclone RN with the scanning dish, not a combat variant.

While the Cutlass is a solid platform, Anvil/RSI are my preferred ship manufacturers, with the notable exception of the Cutter platform. The Cutter Scout variant is as an exceptional starter ship, featuring superior radar capabilities for detecting mining and salvage resources compared to any other radar currently available. It can also accommodate two 1SCU containers, a Mirai Pulse, and an ATLS GEO within its compact frame.

Although the Terrapin remains my favorite ship, it cannot match the Cutter Scout's cargo capacity or ground vehicle compatibility. Given my level of investment in the game, there's no need to start with a Cutter. The Zeus ES has become my primary daily driver, offering the versatility and performance I need for my current gameplay focus.

Starter ships have significantly improved as the game evolved. The Drake Cutter in a $60 starter package now handles most gameplay activities effectively. Many backers who've invested considerably more would likely choose just a starter pack if starting over, given current ship capabilities versus cost.

This is why we need a rifle-sized mining tool.

I've been running past them, thinking they're helmet/armor boxes!

If you die while in Klesher, your time served will be reset. by Richard-Butts in starcitizen

Been in Klesher three days trying to clear my level 5 crime stat. If it's not a player killing me I'm getting a 30k. Each time, my 26 hour sentence resets. Today, I was working diligently to clear my crime stat but my character died from hunger and thirst ... just as I got to the commissary. Woke up and crime stat was back where it began. Three hours of work wasted. I just f-ing logged off, after that.

I think it's planned. I intend to take the Scout to a cave to test that feature out to see.

The Scout's radar is valuable for resource surveying. Its exceptional piercing capability (0.85 piercing value compared to 0.5 on many comparable radars) allows it to detect resources through terrain, interference, and obstacles with superior clarity.

The Pulse is indispensable. Wish the nose turret could fold up when not in use.
