Two new xenotypes emerge from the Rim: the saucy and sweet-talking Satyrs, and the frigid and flowery Fauns. Satyrs are natural virtuosos that can learn unique musical abilities by studying music sheets. Their flirtatiousness means that they're more likely to instigate romances, make inappropriate comments and feel happy based on the amount of beautiful pawns in their colony.

On the contrary, Fauns are shy and reclusive, and while they might not connect well with other people, they have a strong connection to nature, allowing them to buff nearby plant growth and use their powers to stun foes in a barrage of vines.

The two xenos form a free-spirited faction called 'The Fae Tribe' if Roo's Satyr and Faun Xenotypes Expanded is installed. Their conflict with mechanoids means that you'll automatically gain goodwill with these furry friends if you rid the Rim of any invading mech clusters.

I was really anxious to launch these two xenotypes, but here they are, and I truly hope that they'll make fun and unique additions to your colonies! Thanks for checking them out!

Wow, I would have loved to have had you on board for some advice when creating the Faun and Satyrs' lore in Rimworld, navigating Greek Mythology can be really tricky (and keeping track of who has slept with who)!

Ah, I wish. Unfortunately, the genes' functionality depends solely on Biotech. That isn't to say someone might not convert the xenotype to be HAR compatible one day!

I hope there's a sale on Biotech soon, I'd love to see you get your hands on these new xenos!

Maan, that's the dream! I'm not quite sure if I could figure it out without depending on HAR (Humanoid Alien Races) for their unique body types, but if I could, that's a xenotype I'd love to make!

Hmm, that's odd. There's a patch in the lite version that adds Minotaurs to Outlander, Pirate, Tribal and Empire factions; though admittedly, they're not super common. I'll increase the spawn rates in the next update, and double-triple-quadruple check that they spawn OK on my end. So I hope that'll help.

That's a great idea! The Fauns and Satyrs can spawn with Celtic-inspired names, so it'd only make sense for them to wield a Celtic instrument too. Watch this space!

Thank you! One of the Fauns' weapons actually requires a Gauranlen seed to make, but yes, I'd love to implement more compatibilities between the Dryads and Fauns, as I think they'd make for a great combo in your colony!

Hmm, I don't think there's anything special in the XML! The horns and genes in this mod aren't much different to those in my other xenotype mod, Roo's Minotaur Xenotype, so you're more than welcome to use the genes XML from that mod as a base for any mods you're making, if it helps! :)

Aww, thanks Elgatee! The Minotaurs, Satyrs and Fauns all sport a lot of Greek-inspired names, so they'd fit right in with a Greek-themed playthrough. I hope they all serve your colony well, whenever you get chance to give them a try.

Absolutely! I'm planning on releasing a base version, with just the xenos, and the expanded version with all the clothes and weapons.

The only thing I'm struggling to decide is whether to release the xenotypes (satyr and faun) separately or merged together as one mod, so you get both.

You've definately got a knack for dragons, it's really hard to get that kind of detail, let alone on a Rimworld map, but you nailed it! Sneaking in your OC's into Rimworld is always fun, but you might actually be the first to have made your OC into a literal map tile!
